Democrats want the public to think Epstein is a Trump problem.
But his ties to the Left are deeper than anyone knew.
And an Obama official sought Jeffrey Epstein's help with this prostitution scandal.
Epstein's Reach Into Obama's Inner Circle
Kathy Ruemmler resigned as Goldman Sachs's top lawyer after emails exposed her close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
She called him "Uncle Jeffrey” and said she adored him.
Newly released Department of Justice documents reveal something worse – Ruemmler turned to the convicted sex offender for help managing a political crisis while she was under consideration to become attorney general.
Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan told Ruemmler on April 20, 2012 that a White House advance team member had a prostitute in his hotel room during Obama's trip to Cartagena.
Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters three days later that a review found "no indication of any misconduct."
That was a lie.
Twelve Secret Service agents lost their jobs.
The White House aide – Jonathan Dach, son of wealthy Obama donor Leslie Dach – faced zero consequences.
Obama White House outsources its PR
The Washington Post prepared to expose the cover-up in October 2014.
Ruemmler was in private practice and being vetted for attorney general.
"[H]ow you doin," Epstein emailed her on October 9, after the story dropped.
"Doing fine," she replied. "Was talking to reporters until late in the morning last night. Trying to isolate/contain wapo."
Eight days later, Ruemmler sent Epstein her draft response to Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig.
Epstein questioned whether the aide still denied the incident. "[I]mportant point," he wrote.
Obama's White House counsel took editorial suggestions from a convicted pedophile on how to lie to the press.
"Hey, the lawyer letter said it was the prostitute that wrote down the room number. ? ?" Epstein wrote back. "thats a totally different spin on the story, if it wasn't the hotel clerk who wrote it, ie how often do prostitutes lie as to which room they are headed??"
A convicted sex offender was helping an Obama official craft plausible deniability for a donor's son.
"The whole thing is ridiculous – they had to obtain the re=ord 'under the table' because the last thing the Hilton wanted t= do is to voluntarily give over info implicating the privacy of their gues=s," Ruemmler told Epstein.
Later that day, she forwarded him a letter from the aide's attorney demanding The Washington Post not name him.
Epstein was inside the Obama administration's crisis response operation.
Hotel records showed a woman registered to Jonathan Dach's room shortly after midnight.
The same woman advertised herself online as a prostitute, complete with photos in front of "Summit of the Americas" signs.
The lead DHS investigator, David Nieland, said supervisors ordered him "to withhold and alter certain information in the report of investigation because it was potentially embarrassing to the administration."
They told him to delay the report until after the 2012 election.
Jonathan Dach was never disciplined.
The Obama administration promoted him to the State Department's Office on Global Women's Issues – working on human trafficking and prostitution policy.
The guy who had a prostitute in his hotel room got promoted to handle prostitution policy for the United States government.
His father donated $28,500 to Obama's campaign and worked with Michelle Obama on her "Let's Move" initiative.
Leslie Dach made a $20,000 donation to the Obama Victory Fund on September 19, 2012.
Five days later, the donation was returned – right after the lead investigator first said White House personnel were involved.
Even the Democrats knew how bad this looked.
Epstein's Network Runs Deep
Lawrence Summers – Obama's former National Economic Council director – wrote to Epstein when the story broke: "I fear she should have pulled out last week."
"I have some ideas," Epstein replied. "call when you have a moment."
Summers resigned from OpenAI's board in November over his Epstein emails, stating he was "deeply ashamed."
Ruemmler consulted Epstein about whether to become attorney general – sharing in a September 20, 2014 email that she was "pretty stuck" after signing a lease for an $11,000 per month New York apartment.
Between 2014 and 2019, Epstein showered her with designer bags, electronics, and spa days.
"I adore him," she wrote in a December 25, 2015 email. "It's like having another older brother!"
An older brother who was a registered sex offender.
Obama's White House counsel took gifts from a convicted sex offender and used him as her crisis management consultant.
An investigator was ordered to falsify his report to protect a donor's son.
The donor's son was rewarded with a government job handling the exact issue he was implicated in.
And when it threatened to become public, they workshopped their lies with Jeffrey Epstein himself.
Goldman Sachs hired Ruemmler in 2020 knowing all of this.
CEO David Solomon called her an "excellent lawyer" with his "full faith and backing" as recently as December.
After millions of pages of DOJ documents exposed her calling Epstein "Uncle Jeffrey" and "sweetie," the bank cut her loose.
A multibillion-dollar bank keeping institutional knowledge from someone who coordinated political cover-ups with convicted pedophiles.
