The radical Left can’t seem to let go of their anti-Trump obsession.
New Jersey Democrat Mikie Sherrill just revealed how far she’s willing to go to target the President.
And Americans were left charred in disgust at the candidate for Governor’s shocking comments about Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Democrat boasts about anti-Trump crusade
During a Democrat candidate forum for the New Jersey governor’s race, Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) couldn’t help but brag about her role in the first impeachment of Donald Trump.
When asked by WNYC Morning Edition host Michael Hill how she would stand up to Donald Trump while ensuring New Jersey can cooperate with the federal government, Sherrill was quick to highlight her anti-Trump credentials.
“Well, I would say in my first term, it looked like leading the caucus and impeaching (LAUGHS) him the first time,” Sherrill said with a laugh that seemed to take pride in the divisive political maneuver.
But Sherrill wasn’t done there. She made it clear that her vendetta extends to President Trump’s entire administration and key allies.
Called for Secretary of Defense to be fired
Sherrill took direct aim at Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, a combat veteran who served his country in Iraq, Cuba, and Afghanistan, earning multiple Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.
Despite Hegseth’s distinguished military service, Sherrill called him “the worst head of the Department of Defense we’ve ever had” and bragged about “laying out a path for why we need to have him fired immediately.”
The attack on a decorated veteran shows how far Democrats will go to undermine the Trump administration.
Targeted Elon Musk with bizarre demand
In perhaps her most unusual comment, Sherrill boasted about demanding that Elon Musk undergo drug testing.
“But also having, getting Elon Musk drug tested, for example, as I put forth,” Sherrill told the forum audience.
The comment appears to reference Musk’s role as a key technology advisor in the Trump administration, where he’s been appointed as a Senior Advisor on AI and cryptocurrency policy.
Vows to fight federal government with lawsuits
Sherrill didn’t stop at personal attacks. She promised to engage in legal warfare against the federal government if elected governor.
“In New Jersey, making sure that we are taking him to court, pushing back against these Medicaid cuts, clawing back federal funding back to New Jersey,” Sherrill declared.
She specifically cited California’s approach, saying: “It would look like what you see California doing, for example. So the governor of California has Trump in court right now because he is saying that these tariffs are illegal.”
The Democratic governor’s race in New Jersey includes several other candidates besides Sherrill, including Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, Rep. Josh Gottheimer, and former state Senate President Steve Sweeney.
Sherrill’s comments reveal how Democrats are still consumed with attacking President Trump rather than focusing on policies that would help everyday Americans.
The obsession with undermining Trump and his administration has become a central campaign strategy for many Democrats, even as the President works to strengthen the economy, protect American jobs, and secure the border.
Sherrill’s comments are part of a larger pattern of Democrats prioritizing resistance over results and personal vendettas over public service.
