A New Turning Point USA Chapter at a New York School Resulted in This Sickening Retaliation

New chapters of Turning Point USA have been springing up at schools after Charlie Kirk's assassination.

Democrats want to destroy his legacy.

And a new Turning Point USA chapter at a New York school resulted in this sickening retaliation.

Jennifer Fasulo Helped Students Start a Club America Chapter — Days Later She Was Gone

Jennifer Fasulo has taught Spanish at Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York, for years.

Her students call her a mentor whose wisdom and compassion is unmatched.

By every account, she is exactly the kind of teacher every parent hopes their kid gets.

Some of her students came to her – not the other way around – and asked if she'd volunteer as faculty adviser for their new Club America chapter – a Turning Point USA-affiliated group.

She said yes.

On January 30, the Baldwinsville Central School District pulled her out of her classroom and put her on paid administrative leave.

She has not been back since.

The district's explanation to parents, delivered in a February 10 letter, was this: "The District can confirm that a staff member has been placed on paid administrative leave while a matter is under review. We are following established administrative and legal procedures, and we are unable to comment further."

No reason. No timeline. No acknowledgment that this teacher did a single thing wrong.

The Baldwinsville School District Put Her on Administrative Leave and Won't Say Why

The same letter that offered zero explanation for Fasulo's removal found room to declare the district's commitment to "a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every individual."

That line signals to the right parents that the right action is being taken – without ever having to say out loud what that action is or why.

What's on the record is simple: Fasulo agreed to advise a conservative student club, and days later she was removed from her classroom.

Republican state Senate candidate Caleb Slater, who knows Fasulo through their church community, called her exactly what she is – a sacrificial lamb, placed there to warn every other conservative teacher in the building about what happens when you help the wrong students.

"These are students who asked for this organization to be founded, not parents or teachers," Slater said.

Federal Law Protects Conservative Student Clubs — and the District Knows It

The Equal Access Act – passed in 1984, signed by Ronald Reagan, and upheld by the Supreme Court – makes it unlawful for any public school receiving federal funds to deny student clubs based on their "religious, political, philosophical, or other content."

Baldwinsville receives federal funding, Baker High already hosts non-curriculum student clubs, and that means Club America is entitled to the same access as every other group on campus.

Any school official who denied or obstructed this club would be committing what federal courts call "viewpoint discrimination" – and the New York State School Boards Association has explicitly warned districts that organizations stand ready to sue when they cross that line.

This is why the district won't say what Fasulo did wrong.

If the answer is "she agreed to advise a conservative club," that's a lawsuit.

So instead they hide behind "a matter is under review" and let a good teacher sit at home while they figure out how to make it look like something else.

Over 2,300 People Have Signed the Petition to Reinstate Jennifer Fasulo

These students followed every rule.

They came up with the idea themselves, found a willing faculty adviser, and went through proper channels – the same process every other student club uses without incident.

The Baldwinsville Central School District's response was to remove the only teacher willing to stand with them.

More than 2,300 people have signed a petition demanding Fasulo's reinstatement – "We believe no educator should be punished for their personal beliefs."

Club America President Jerry Dygert stood before the school board on February 9 and put it plainly: "This teacher is being targeted not because of her performance, but for her political beliefs. Removing the one teacher who best embodies those values puts that mission in serious jeopardy," Dygert said.

Radical leftist parents in the community, meanwhile, have compared Club America to the Ku Klux Klan.

That's who the district is listening to.

In the months since Charlie Kirk's assassination, the number of Club America chapters has more than doubled – from 1,200 to over 3,000 high schools across the country.

Governor Greg Abbott made it state policy in Texas.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis partnered with TPUSA to expand chapters across his state.

Abbott went further – warning that any school official who blocks a Club America chapter should be reported directly to the Texas Education Agency.

New York has no such protection.

Jennifer Fasulo has been home since January 30.

The district still hasn't explained why – and that silence is the only answer they're willing to give.
