The swamp creatures in Washington, D.C. can’t stand that voters elected Donald Trump and his allies to drain their corrupt system.

Now one deranged government employee took his hatred to a whole new level.
The Justice Department announced that Seth Jason, a former Voice of America employee, has been indicted for allegedly making eight threatening phone calls to Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene over a 15-month period.¹
Jason didn’t just make these calls from his personal phone.
He used taxpayer-funded Voice of America equipment at the agency’s headquarters to make the threats.
The calls spanned from October 11, 2023, through January 21, 2025, showing this wasn’t some momentary lapse in judgment.
Jason allegedly used multiple VOA phone lines at the agency’s headquarters to threaten Greene, her staff, and their family members with firearms.²
Think about that for a moment.
A government employee was using equipment paid for by hardworking Americans to threaten an elected representative of the people.
This is exactly the kind of rot that President Trump promised to clean out of the federal bureaucracy.
Deep state employee faces serious charges for targeting conservative
Jason has been charged with threatening a federal official and family member, making interstate threats, and harassment.³
If convicted on all charges, Jason faces up to nearly 20 years in prison.
Senior Advisor for the U.S. Agency for Global Media Kari Lake didn’t mince words when she responded to the indictment.
"As the Trump Adminstration official overseeing VOA, I thank [US Attorney Jeanine Pirro] for taking these threats seriously. I am sickened by what Congresswoman [Marjorie Taylor Greene], her staff and their families had to go through as the threats persisted for 15 months!"⁴
Lake pointed out the disturbing reality of what happened here.
"It angers me that a taxpayer-funded VOA employee would use taxpayer-funded equipment in a depraved way to threaten the lives of people, including an elected official," she continued.⁵
This wasn’t just some random internet troll hiding behind a computer screen.
This was a longtime government employee who had access to federal facilities and equipment.
He used that access to terrorize an elected representative and her family for over a year.
Kari Lake calls for shutting down corrupt agency
Lake said the indictment reveals the corruption inside the Voice of America and the U.S. Agency for Global Media that needs to be addressed.
"President Trump wants the agency eliminated–I agree with him–it’s time to shut it down," Lake stated.⁶
Voice of America was supposed to be America’s voice to the world, promoting our values and democracy.
Instead, it became a breeding ground for the kind of deep state operatives who think they can intimidate conservative lawmakers.
This is exactly why Trump won such a massive mandate in November.
Voters are sick and tired of seeing their tax dollars fund agencies that work against their interests.
They’re tired of seeing conservative leaders like Marjorie Taylor Greene targeted by unhinged government employees.
The fact that Jason felt comfortable using government equipment to make these threats shows how deeply the rot has spread through the federal bureaucracy.
These agencies have become infested with left-wing activists who think they can use their positions to harass and intimidate anyone who doesn’t share their political views.
What this means for the future
This case proves that President Trump was right to target these bloated agencies for elimination.
When government employees are using taxpayer-funded equipment to threaten elected officials, it’s time to clean house.
The deep state has shown its true colors once again.
