The deep state thought they could lie to Congress without consequences.
But their arrogance is finally catching up with them.
And a Fox News star revealed one bad mistake that could put James Comey in jail.
The walls are closing in on the Russia hoax masterminds
Former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan have been brought under criminal investigation for false testimony to Congress.¹
The investigation centers on whether their congressional testimony about the Steele dossier constituted perjury.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley appeared on Fox News’ "The Ingraham Angle" and dropped a bombshell about why Comey’s previous testimony might just "trip the wire to perjury."
Turley watched a clip of Comey’s 2020 testimony to the Senate where the former FBI director pleaded ignorance to significant problems with the Steele dossier.
"Now, I remember listening to that testimony and just almost falling out of my chair," Turley said. "Virtually everything he said was untrue. In fact, the IG reports shredded the FBI and said that they didn’t follow protocol, that they ignored counterintelligence. So they pushed the Steele dossier forward, and these were two of the key individuals who did that."²
The legal expert said the Inspector General reports completely destroyed the FBI’s credibility and exposed how they ignored proper protocols.
Comey’s carefully crafted lies are unraveling
Turley pointed out that both Comey and Brennan are "sophisticated players" who knew exactly how to word their testimony to avoid immediate perjury charges.
"You’ll notice that they’re very careful in how they word this. You know Comey is very careful to say that there wasn’t basically malicious intent. Not that there weren’t mistakes, and time and time again Comey portrayed himself as ignorant of all of these countervailing sources," Turley stated.²
"So the question is does any of this trip the wire to perjury? Both of these are sophisticated players," Turley added.²
But their carefully crafted lies are now unraveling.
Sources tell Fox News Digital that investigators are examining whether the testimonies constitute "conspiracy."
The probe stems from a 2016 email sent to Brennan by his deputy CIA director.
The email warned that including the dossier in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment could jeopardize "the credibility of the entire paper."¹
This completely contradicts Brennan’s later testimony to Congress.
In May 2023, Brennan told lawmakers that the CIA "was very much opposed to having any reference or inclusion of the Steele dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment."¹
"And so they sent over a copy of the dossier to say that this was going to be separate from the rest of that assessment," Brennan claimed.¹
But the 2016 email proves this was a lie.
The deep state’s house of cards is collapsing
Comey has repeatedly testified to both Congress and the Senate over the years about the Steele dossier.
In 2018, he claimed that Republicans had initially backed the infamous dossier.
In 2020, the former FBI director told Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee that not only did his staff not notify him of issues pertaining to the primary source for dossier author Christopher Steele, but he also couldn’t "recall" details of a briefing on the issues about the Department of Justice’s concerns regarding Steele’s political bias against Trump.¹
This is the same pattern we’ve seen from deep state operatives for years.
They claim ignorance when caught in lies and say they can’t recall critical details that would expose their corruption.
But the evidence is mounting that both Comey and Brennan knew exactly what they were doing when they pushed the phony Steele dossier.
They weaponized the intelligence community against a sitting President based on opposition research paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
The Russia hoax was the biggest political scandal in American history.
It damaged our democracy and undermined faith in our institutions.
Now, finally, the people responsible might face justice.
Comey and Brennan thought they were untouchable.
They believed they could lie to Congress and the American people without consequences.
But their arrogance may have finally caught up with them.
The criminal investigation into their false testimony could result in perjury charges that carry serious prison time.
After years of investigations, hearings, and reports, the deep state architects of the Russia hoax might finally be held accountable.
The American people deserve justice for the lies they were told and the damage done to our democratic process.
James Comey spent years positioning himself as a righteous defender of the rule of law.
But the evidence suggests he was actually one of the chief architects of a conspiracy to undermine a duly elected President.
If he’s found guilty of perjury, Comey will go from FBI Director to federal prisoner.
And that would be justice served.
