A federal prosecutor revealed one bad mistake by James Comey

The deep state’s reckoning has finally begun.

A federal prosecutor just exposed the one fatal error that could send former FBI Director James Comey to prison.

And the details of this corrupt bureaucrat’s operation will leave you absolutely stunned.

Federal Grand Jury Delivers Justice Long Overdue

A federal grand jury handed down criminal charges against Comey on Thursday night, hitting him with lying to Congress and obstruction charges stemming from testimony he gave during a September 30, 2020 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

The charges center on Comey’s lies about his systematic leaking operation – specifically whether he authorized someone at the FBI to be an anonymous source for media reports about FBI investigations.

According to the indictment, when Comey testified by Zoom that "he had not authorized someone else to be an anonymous source in news reports," that statement was false.

The lying charge is related to the FBI’s "Arctic haze" leak investigation involving classified information that ended up in multiple newspaper articles.

Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty, who represented Trump in the classified documents case, broke down exactly how Comey’s criminal enterprise worked during an appearance on CNN’s "The Source."

"This was a director of the FBI who had a special employee designed for one purpose: to leak things to The New York Times," Trusty explained to host Kaitlan Collins.¹

Think about that for a moment.

The director of the FBI – the nation’s top law enforcement official – had a dedicated employee whose job was to illegally leak classified information to the media.

This wasn’t some rogue operation or bureaucratic mistake.

This was a deliberate, systematic effort to weaponize America’s premier law enforcement agency against a sitting President.

Comey’s Web of Lies Finally Catches Up to Him

When Congress pressed Comey about his illegal leaking operation during the September 30, 2020 hearing, he did what corrupt Democrats always do when caught red-handed.

He lied.

According to the indictment, when Comey appeared by Zoom before the Senate Judiciary Committee and was asked about authorizing FBI employees to be anonymous sources, he falsely denied it.

"When he was pressed in Congress on whether or not he had leaked something, he had authorized the leak of a memo he retained wrongfully at his house, he said, ‘No, that’s not my recollection,’" Trusty continued. "They challenged him about McCabe, another guy who had referrals to the Inspector General for lying, and Comey said, ‘That’s not my recollection.’"²

Notice the pattern here.

Every time these deep state operatives get caught breaking the law, they suddenly develop convenient memory problems.

It’s the same playbook they used during the Russia hoax, the same excuse-making they deployed when caught spying on Trump’s campaign, and the same deflection tactics they’ve used for decades to avoid accountability.

But here’s the thing – federal prosecutors don’t buy the "I don’t recall" defense when there’s hard evidence of criminal conduct.

The grand jury that indicted Comey "carefully considered the case" and "actually shaved it down to an area that makes a lot of sense," according to Trusty.³

That means they have him dead to rights on the lying charges.

The Inspector General Already Documented Comey’s Crimes

For folks who work for a living and play by the rules, this whole situation should make your blood boil.

While average Americans get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for far lesser offenses, corrupt FBI directors like Comey have been skating by for years despite clear evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

But the Inspector General’s report already laid out the case against Comey in black and white.

"Here’s the Inspector General specifically saying, ‘Comey set a dangerous example for 35,000 FBI employees because he wrongly leaked information to The New York Times that he shouldn’t have even possessed,’" Trusty explained.⁴

Read that again.

The FBI’s own internal watchdog found that Comey "wrongly leaked information" that "he shouldn’t have even possessed" and that his conduct "set a dangerous example" for tens of thousands of federal law enforcement officers.

This isn’t some partisan witch hunt or political persecution.

This is a career law enforcement official getting caught red-handed violating the very laws he swore to uphold and then lying about it to Congress under oath.

Deep State’s Media Operation Finally Exposed

You want to know what this really reveals about how the swamp operates?

Comey didn’t just leak information randomly.

He had a "special employee designed for one purpose: to leak things to The New York Times."

Think about the coordination required to pull that off.

The FBI director creates a dedicated position for someone whose entire job is illegally feeding information to a specific newspaper that happens to be virulently anti-Trump.

That newspaper then publishes story after story designed to damage Trump’s presidency and legitimize the deep state’s attacks on American democracy.

And when Congress investigates this obvious corruption, the FBI director lies under oath to cover it up.

This is exactly what President Trump has been telling us for years – the deep state, the media, and corrupt Democrat politicians have been working together in a coordinated campaign to destroy anyone who threatens their power.

The Comey indictment proves Trump was right all along.

Justice Department Finally Grows a Backbone

Look, nobody expected the Biden Justice Department to hold one of their own accountable for crimes against the Trump administration.

But here we are.

"We don’t know how long the Deputy AG and AG have been on this matter, deciding whether or not they think it’s a case," Trusty noted.⁵

What we do know is that the evidence against Comey was so overwhelming that even Biden’s Justice Department couldn’t ignore it anymore.

The Inspector General’s report documented his crimes.

Witnesses are "locked in" on their testimony about Comey’s leaking operation.

Federal prosecutors may have even gotten cooperation from The New York Times itself.

"There may be ways of proving this case quite nicely at Comey’s expense," Trusty concluded.⁶

For Americans who’ve watched corrupt deep state operatives escape justice for far too long, this indictment represents something we haven’t seen in decades – actual accountability for the people who think they’re above the law.

The same James Comey who made a mockery of the FBI’s credibility, who turned America’s premier law enforcement agency into a partisan weapon, and who lied to Congress about his criminal conduct is finally facing the consequences of his actions.

He faces up to five years in prison if convicted on the charges.

It’s about damn time.
