Border Czar Tom Homan promised to crack down on the worst criminals hiding in America.

But one illegal immigrant had other plans when ICE came knocking.

And a convicted sex offender just turned an ICE arrest into a nightmare that will make your blood boil.

Guatemalan sex offender attacks federal officer during arrest

Roberto Carlos Munoz thought he could escape justice one more time when ICE officers tracked him down in Bloomington, Minnesota.

The convicted sex offender from Guatemala had been living in the shadows since entering the United States illegally on an unknown date.

But when federal agents finally caught up with him during an arrest attempt, Munoz made a decision that landed him in even deeper trouble.

Instead of surrendering peacefully, the 39-year-old refused to exit his vehicle and tried to flee from law enforcement.

That’s when things took a horrific turn.

After an officer used a window punch tool to break his rear window and reached inside to unlock the door, Munoz put his car in drive while the ICE officer’s arm was still inside the vehicle, dragging the federal agent down the street.

The officer required more than 30 stitches for his injuries – 20 stitches for a deep cut in his right arm and another 13 stitches in his left hand, according to the federal complaint. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Munoz has been arrested and is now in federal custody facing additional charges for his attack on a federal law enforcement officer.

A criminal history spanning over a decade

The Department of Homeland Security revealed that Munoz has been convicted of serious crimes in American courts, including fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving repeated abuse of a minor in 2022.

According to court documents, Munoz was convicted of sexually abusing his 16-year-old stepdaughter and received an 18-month prison sentence that was stayed. Instead, he served just 60 days in a county workhouse.

ICE first lodged a detainer on Munoz back in 2013, meaning immigration authorities have been trying to remove this dangerous criminal for over a decade.

But local authorities in Minnesota refused to honor the ICE detainer when he was arrested in 2022, allowing him to be released back into the community.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin didn’t mince words when describing the failure of local authorities to protect their communities.

“Roberto Carlos Munoz is a child sex offender and illegal alien from Guatemala who attempted to evade law enforcement and dragged an ICE officer 50 yards down the street with his car,” McLaughlin said.

She praised the injured officer’s dedication to duty while condemning the policies that allowed this criminal to remain free.

“Thankfully, the officer is expected to make a full recovery,” McLaughlin continued.

Governor Tim Walz’s dangerous sanctuary policies exposed

McLaughlin didn’t hold back when criticizing Minnesota’s Democrat leadership for creating an environment where violent criminals can operate with impunity.

“This illegal alien has been committing violent crimes in the U.S. for nearly 15 years,” she explained. “He is a convicted child sex offender who has a rap sheet that includes an arrest for domestic assault and multiple driving offenses.”

The Assistant Secretary then delivered a scathing rebuke of Governor Tim Walz, who has consistently opposed federal immigration enforcement efforts.

“Under Governor Tim Walz, this sicko was living in Minnesota without consequence,” McLaughlin declared.

Walz previously compared ICE agents to Nazi Germany’s secret police, calling federal immigration enforcement officers “Gestapo” for doing their jobs.

McLaughlin fired back at those outrageous comparisons.

“Instead of comparing ICE law enforcement to the Gestapo, Governor Walz should be thanking our brave law enforcement for arresting these violent criminals,” she stated.

Trump’s border strategy delivers unprecedented results

This arrest comes as the Trump administration continues to deliver on its promise to prioritize the removal of dangerous criminals from American communities.

Border Czar Tom Homan has repeatedly emphasized that ICE will focus on arresting the “worst of the worst” illegal immigrants who pose the greatest threat to public safety.

The administration’s targeted approach has already produced stunning results across the country.

In Los Angeles, ICE recently arrested multiple dangerous criminals while protesters tried to shield the lawbreakers from federal agents.

Meanwhile, U.S. Border Patrol data shows that zero illegal immigrants were released into the United States in May, a dramatic reversal from the Biden administration’s catch-and-release policies.

Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks has praised the Trump administration’s approach, noting the stark contrast with the previous administration’s failures.

The success of these operations proves that proper enforcement can work when political leaders have the will to protect American communities.

Democrats continue to shield violent criminals

The Munoz case perfectly illustrates the deadly consequences of sanctuary city policies that Democrats continue to defend.

For over a decade, this convicted child sex offender was able to avoid deportation despite multiple arrests and convictions.

Local authorities in Minnesota had numerous opportunities to cooperate with federal immigration officials and remove this dangerous criminal.

Instead, they chose to follow Tim Walz’s anti-ICE agenda and allowed Munoz to remain in their communities.

The result was predictable – more victims and now a federal officer in the hospital after being dragged 50 yards by a fleeing criminal.

How many more Americans will be hurt before Democrat politicians finally admit their sanctuary policies are a disaster?

ICE officers risk their lives to protect communities

While politicians in Washington, D.C. debate immigration policy, brave ICE officers put their lives on the line every day to keep dangerous criminals off the streets.

The unnamed officer who was dragged by Munoz’s vehicle represents the dedication and courage of federal immigration enforcement agents across the country.

These men and women face threats and violence from criminals who know that certain politicians will protect them from consequences.

Despite being hospitalized, this officer’s efforts led to the arrest of a dangerous predator who had been evading justice for years.

The Trump administration has made it clear that attacks on federal law enforcement officers will be met with the full force of the law.

Justice finally catches up

Roberto Carlos Munoz’s 15-year crime spree in America has finally come to an end.

His decision to attack a federal officer while trying to escape arrest has only added to his legal troubles.

The convicted child sex offender now faces federal charges for assaulting an ICE agent in addition to his immigration violations.

This case sends a clear message to other criminal illegal immigrants hiding in sanctuary jurisdictions – the Trump administration will find you and remove you from American communities.

Governor Tim Walz and other Democrat politicians who have spent years attacking ICE should take note.

Their policies of obstruction and non-cooperation have real consequences for real people.

The brave ICE officer recovering in a Minnesota hospital is living proof of what happens when politicians prioritize criminals over law enforcement.

Americans deserve leaders who will work with federal authorities to remove dangerous predators like Roberto Carlos Munoz.

The safety of our communities depends on it.
