The Chicago Teachers Union has been waging war against American parents for years.
Now they’ve found a new enemy to target.
And one Chicago Teachers Union member just revealed the shocking plan to sabotage Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Chicago teachers actively coordinating to protect criminal illegal aliens
President Trump deployed federal troops to Chicago as part of his promise to clean up the crime-ridden Democrat-run city.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement ramped up efforts to remove criminal illegal immigrants from the Windy City.
But the Chicago Teachers Union isn’t just sitting back and letting federal law enforcement do their job.
CTU Member Kat Zamarron spilled the beans about the union’s organized resistance during a monthly "Workers Over Billionaires" Zoom call with immigrant rights groups.
The call revealed the shocking extent to which public school employees are actively working to undermine federal immigration enforcement.
"In Chicago, they’re not approaching homes in the way that they have in other places, because our people don’t open the doors, because we know what to do," Zamarron bragged. "And so, like, we literally forced them to change their tactics."
The teachers union member admitted that ICE agents haven’t given up – they’ve just had to adapt their strategies because of the coordinated resistance from union teachers.
"Now, like, of course, right, that means, like, they didn’t give up. They’re just doing something different," Zamarron said. "And so now, right, we’ve got our rapid response network across the city."
Union teachers turn schools into sanctuary zones for illegal immigrants
Zamarron revealed that Chicago Public Schools have established protocols specifically designed to keep federal immigration agents out of schools.
"At schools, we have protocols so that actually, our staff know what to do if federal agents come to our schools, and we know they’re not allowed in without a criminal judicial warrant, which they rarely have," Zamarron explained.
The immigration enforcement crackdown has created some unlikely alliances in Chicago.
Zamarron admitted that the teachers union is now working with school district administrators they normally fight against.
"Building bridges with folks who even maybe very recently did not want to be homies with us, like keeping that door open to make sure we’re actually able to move forward together," Zamarron said.
She described how schools go into lockdown when ICE is spotted in the area and teachers personally escort students home.
"And so we’re walking kids home, we’re walking blocks after the fact to let people know that ICE was in their area," Zamarron continued.
The teachers are also training students and families on how to record ICE operations and sharing information through social media networks.
CTU President Stacy Davis Gates made it clear at a press conference that federal agents aren’t welcome near Chicago schools.
"They are not welcome to pick up parents and detain them after they drop their children off at our schools," Gates declared. "They are not welcome in our neighborhoods to terrorize, to ask for papers."
Teachers union has written sanctuary protections into their contracts
The Chicago Teachers Union has been planning this resistance for years.
Zamarron revealed that the union has "codified sanctuary language" into their collective bargaining agreement since 2019.
The contract includes protections for CPS employees who are in the country illegally.
"We even have employees within CPS, if they have their own, like, immigration issues that need to be worked out for whatever reason, they can take up to 10 days of leave from work to do that," Zamarron explained.
The union members don’t have to use their sick time or personal time for immigration court cases.
CTU has also developed sophisticated systems for identifying and tracking ICE vehicles, including hotlines to report agents and teams to escort students to school.
The teachers are using creative methods to alert communities about ICE operations, from text chains and group chats to setting off car alarms.
"How do you distinguish ICE from, like your local police?" Zamarron asked. "Here in Chicago, we get a lot of reports that are Chicago police or state police and not ICE."
Union draws inspiration from convicted cop killer
The most disturbing revelation was where the Chicago Teachers Union is getting their tactics.
Zamarron admitted that many of the union’s anti-ICE strategies are inspired by the Black Panther Party and convicted cop killer Assata Shakur.
Shakur was convicted of murdering a New Jersey State Trooper and became the first woman on the FBI Most Wanted Terrorist list in 2013.
She escaped from prison and fled to Cuba, where she recently died.
"And like everything we know for Migra Watch, a lot of the protocols that we set up, like, that comes out of the cop watch that the Black Panther Party started way back in the 60s," Zamarron said.
The teacher claimed that Chicago Public Schools’ free breakfast program exists "because of the Black Panthers."
Zamarron argued that union members need to resist because federal agents will eventually target other groups.
"They’re coming for us right now, but they’ll be coming for someone else next," she said.
She made it clear that the teachers union has no intention of complying with federal immigration enforcement.
"We’re not going to comply in advance, we’re not going to say, like, ‘I’m going to, like, try to be acceptable to fascists,’" Zamarron declared.
Look, this is exactly what you’d expect from a teachers union that has spent years putting politics ahead of education.
The Chicago Teachers Union has fought against school choice, opposed accountability measures, and repeatedly gone on strike at the expense of students.
Now they’re actively working to undermine federal law enforcement and protect criminal illegal aliens.
These are the same people who are supposed to be teaching American children about following the law and civic responsibility.
Instead, they’re taking inspiration from convicted terrorists and bragging about obstructing federal agents who are trying to remove dangerous criminals from American communities.
Chicago parents send their kids to school expecting teachers to focus on reading, writing, and math – not organizing resistance movements against federal law enforcement.
Trump deployed ICE to Chicago because the city has become overrun with criminal illegal aliens who pose a direct threat to law-abiding families.
Yet the teachers union treats federal agents like the enemy while rolling out the red carpet for people who shouldn’t be in the country to begin with.
