And what happened to one teacher after a simple classroom lesson should terrify every American who values freedom.
Classroom Lesson About U.S. Election Gets Teacher Flagged As Potential Terrorist
A veteran politics teacher at Henley College in Oxfordshire taught a lesson about the 2024 U.S. Presidential election just days after Donald Trump's landslide victory.
The instructor, qualified since the mid-1990s, showed his A-level students clips from Trump's inauguration and campaign to illustrate the recent election.
Two students complained the material was "biased" and left them "emotionally disturbed."
One claimed watching President Trump gave them nightmares.
The college reported the teacher to the Local Authority Designated Officer, who escalated the matter to Britain's Prevent counter-terrorism program.
Officials warned the teacher's views "could be perceived as radical" and might constitute a "hate crime" or "radicalisation."¹
"It's dystopian, like something from a George Orwell novel," the teacher told The Telegraph. "It was just terrifying. We were discussing the US election, Trump had just won and I showed a couple of videos from the Trump campaign. Next thing, I was accused of bias."²
British Officials Treated Trump Supporter Like Dangerous Criminal
The college's investigation accused the teacher of showing "videos of Donald Trump, his campaign, propaganda and other videos which are unrelated to what is being taught."
The teacher explained he was teaching propaganda and political communication—showing campaign videos was the entire point.
He even included a Kamala Harris video for comparison.
The Local Authority Designated Officer escalated the accusations to absurd levels.
"There is concern that this behaviour could cause harm to a child, there could be a criminal offence from the views which could constitute a hate crime and it's possible that his promoting of views could be radicalisation," the report stated.³
The teacher, a practicing Catholic who supports conservative politics, accused Henley College of having "complete Left-wing bias" that "doesn't tolerate anything about Donald Trump."
After months of investigation, the teacher accepted a £2,000 settlement and resigned from his £44,000-a-year position.
"I felt completely insulted at the suggestion I was a danger to children," he explained. "It impacted my mental health. I had to see a counsellor."⁴
Schools Push Radical Gender Ideology While Punishing Teachers For Basic Facts
Here's what makes this even more sickening.
While British authorities hunt down teachers for showing Trump videos, these same schools are indoctrinating children with content that would shock most parents.
Over 300 British schools signed up with trans lobby group Stonewall to eliminate terms like "boys and girls" from classrooms.
They're installing gender-neutral bathrooms and forcing identical uniforms on everyone.
Schools paying into Stonewall's scheme must embed LGBTQ+ propaganda across the curriculum—ignoring government guidance against promoting "gender identity ideology."⁸
British schools are also pushing "non-fiction" books claiming black people built Stonehenge as part of a "decolonizing" agenda insisting "Britain was a black country for more than 7,000 years before white people came."⁹
But show students footage of America's democratically elected President in a class about American politics?
That gets you branded a terrorist.
The Free Speech Union jumped in to help the teacher — and what they found should alarm everyone.
Lord Toby Young runs the organization. He didn't mince words about what happened.
"The United States is our closest ally and Donald Trump is its democratically elected leader," Young stated. "Showing one of his election adverts to a class of politics students, particularly alongside one of Kamala Harris's, does not make you a risk to children."⁵
The Free Speech Union is handling more than a dozen similar cases where British authorities referred people to safeguarding panels for expressing mainstream conservative views.
Britain's Prevent program was created after 9/11 to stop actual terrorists.
Now it's being weaponized against conservatives while missing real threats.
The program failed to stop the Southport stabbing that killed three young girls in July 2024—even though the attacker had been referred to Prevent three times.
Officials rejected those referrals because he had "no obvious ideology."
Meanwhile, 56% of current Prevent referrals involve people with "no ideology"—the program is targeting thought crimes instead of actual terrorists.¹⁰
Think about that.
Britain's counter-terrorism program couldn't stop a mass murderer who'd been flagged three times.
But it's got plenty of resources to investigate a teacher for showing Trump campaign videos.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage warned about the dangerous direction of British speech policing.
"If the parameters that are set are to say to every kid, if you read a post that questions net zero and global warming, it will be extreme content, and a lie, if you read a post that even dares to question levels of immigration, legal or illegal into Britain, that that's extremist, then you start to set a narrative for a future generation that is fundamentally undemocratic," Farage explained.
He called Prime Minister Keir Starmer "the biggest threat to free speech" in British history.⁷
Look where Britain is now.
A country that once defended freedom alongside America treats showing footage of the American President as terrorism while actual killers slip through.
They're teaching children Britain was "black for 7,000 years" and forcing schools to eliminate "boys and girls."
But discuss Donald Trump in a politics class?

They watch how Britain uses "child protection" to silence conservatives and they want that power here.
The Biden administration weaponized the FBI against parents at school board meetings.
California Democrats tried making it illegal to "misgender" students.
If they get the chance, they'll turn America's child protection systems into the same thought-police apparatus Britain created.
This teacher's nightmare is a warning shot.
The authoritarian Left won't stop at Britain's shores.
And they're coming for America next unless someone stops them.
