FBI Opened a Terrorism File on a Mom Because She Belonged to a Conservative Parents Group

Merrick Garland swore under oath that his FBI never targeted parents for their politics.

On the five-year anniversary of that memo, the DOJ dropped 250 pages of emails from inside his own department.

And one of those emails has a name for the task force Garland's team quietly built inside the Department of Justice.

Biden White House Emails Prove Garland Lied to Congress About DOJ Weaponization

On October 4, 2021, former Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a memo directing the FBI to investigate parents protesting at school board meetings as potential domestic threats.

When Congress asked him about it, he swore it was about "violence and threats of violence" – not parents who showed up angry at a school meeting.

His own staff didn't believe him.

One DOJ attorney wrote in a September 24, 2021 email: "This is ridiculous."

Another said making the DOJ and FBI "the threats police" lacked a "limiting principle."

A third typed three words: "Stupid, stupid, stupid."

Then one of those same attorneys put what they were actually building into writing: "Might as well rename the damn thing the Anti-MAGA Task Force."

And it wasn't rogue career bureaucrats who built it.

The DOJ's own Weaponization Working Group confirms the White House drove every step of it.

Biden senior adviser Mary Wall requested an advance copy of the NSBA letter before it was even released publicly.

White House Counsel staffer Ephraim McDowell pressed DOJ officials on October 1 that the administration considered the issue "fairly urgent" and wanted to hear what DOJ was thinking.

Garland then sat before Congress and testified the DOJ "worked independently of the White House."

He was lying.

FBI Opened a Domestic Terrorism File on a Moms for Liberty Member

When Garland's memo landed, the FBI didn't sit on it.

They opened 25 Guardian threat assessments – the same preliminary files used in counterterrorism investigations – on American parents.

Six ran through the FBI's Counterterrorism Division; two more came from the Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate – the unit that tracks nerve agent attacks.

One FBI whistleblower revealed that a mother was investigated because she owned a gun and was a member of Moms for Liberty.

That is what the federal government’s counterterrorism infrastructure was aimed at under Biden.

Scott Smith's daughter was sexually assaulted in a girls' bathroom at Stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County, Virginia – by a male student wearing female clothing.

When Smith showed up at the school board meeting demanding answers, the school superintendent told the room: "We don't have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms."

Smith lost it. The school board responded by putting his name in the NSBA's domestic terrorist letter – and Garland's FBI opened a file on him.

The attacker was later convicted on sexual assault charges. Smith was later pardoned by former Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin.

Garland never apologized.

The NSBA – the group that begged Biden to deploy federal law enforcement against parents – did eventually apologize for its letter, admitting "there was no justification for some of the language."

Garland never rescinded the memo. His task force kept running.

A January 2022 email confirms the DOJ was still "continuing to track threats and investigate parents" months after the NSBA withdrew its own letter.

Not one of the 25 parents under federal investigation was ever charged.

This Was Biden's DOJ Weaponization Against Parental Rights From Day One

Garland didn't go rogue. He followed orders from a White House that weaponized the federal government against conservatives.

Five years ago, Garland signed his name to a memo his own lawyers called unconstitutional – that his own agents called "stupid" – written to silence Americans who dared question what was happening in their children's classrooms.

Todd Blanche chose the five-year anniversary  to make the emails public.

Every parent who showed up at a school board meeting during COVID deserves to know their own government treated them as a national security threat.

And Merrick Garland – who sat before Congress and denied all of it – deserves to answer for that under oath.
