Biden called Facebook a killer in 2021 – then handed his Surgeon General a script to make it happen.
That script just surfaced in 413 pages of FOIA documents.
And it proves Vivek Murthy wasn't just asking Big Tech to silence Americans – he was told exactly what to say to do it.
Biden COVID Censorship Documents Show Murthy Had a Script for Every Interview
Watchdog group Protect the Public's Trust spent two years pulling these documents out of the federal government, and what they found is a blueprint.
Before Biden’s Surgeon General Vivek Murthy appeared on Pod Save America in July 2021, his handlers armed him with talking points directing him to target the unvaccinated using CDC and Census Bureau data – broken down block by block, door by door.
Before his Washington Post interview, a preparation document confirmed Murthy's office had moved beyond public statements entirely.
"We've increased mis/disinformation research and tracking within the Surgeon General's office, and we're flagging problematic posts for social platforms," the document read.
"Facebook is aware of our concerns and we have requested changes."
Platforms that didn't comply were scripted to be accused of doing "a disservice to the country" – language Murthy was directed to deploy across every interview simultaneously.
The sharpest moment came in Murthy's NBC Nightly News prep – talking points instructing him to invoke the deaths of "ten of his own family members" from COVID to pressure social media giants to "step up and stop the spread."
Biden's White House demanded algorithmic changes to down-rank disfavored content and elevate what they called "quality information about vaccines."
PPT Director Michael Chamberlain didn't mince words: "They sidelined science when it was inconvenient and pushed tech companies to censor information that turned out to be true."
COVID Natural Immunity and the Lab Leak Were Real and Biden Suppressed Them Both
The claims Biden's censorship machine targeted as dangerous included the COVID lab leak theory, the superiority of natural immunity, and concerns about mandating vaccines for people at minimal risk.
Every single one proved accurate.
FOIA documents obtained by the Daily Caller in January 2026 show Fauci and NIH Director Francis Collins privately acknowledged natural immunity was dramatically stronger than the vaccine – citing an Israeli study showing naturally immune people were 13 times more protected than the vaccinated.
They knew. They hid it. Then they pushed vaccine mandates anyway.
Mark Zuckerberg eventually broke. In a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, he admitted Biden administration officials "repeatedly pressured" Facebook for months to censor COVID content – including humor and satire.
He called the pressure "wrong" and said he regretted that Facebook "was not more outspoken about it."
A House Judiciary Committee investigation put numbers to the operation: 45 federal officials were identified communicating directly with social media executives about what Americans were allowed to say.
Facebook alone removed more than 20 million posts between the start of the pandemic and summer 2021.
This Is Why Americans Stopped Trusting the Government
At the start of the pandemic, 85% of Americans trusted the CDC.
Within two years, that number collapsed to 44%.
The current HHS spokesman – now serving under RFK Jr. – said it plainly when asked about Murthy's approach.
"That kind of messaging is a big part of why public trust in our healthcare system collapsed during the pandemic," said Andrew Nixon.
The script Murthy was handed before every interview – invoke family tragedy, accuse dissenters of killing people, demand algorithmic changes – wasn't public health communication.
Five years later, 413 pages of documents confirm what millions of Americans always suspected: the real threat, in the eyes of the Biden administration, wasn't the virus.
It was Americans thinking for themselves.
