George Soros has bankrolled the radical left for decades.
Conservatives always suspected his network had an endgame.
And Soros' network has one sinister plan for America that left Trump supporters sick.
Conservatives have long warned that George Soros's network of organizations aims to undermine American sovereignty and democratic principles.
Now a document connected to his Open Society Foundations has proven those warnings correct.
Sonja Licht, a former CEO of Soros's Fund for an Open Society and current leader of his Roma Programs Advisory Board, authored a proposal that shocked even seasoned political observers.¹
In the document, Licht argues the public should "cede part of their sovereignty" to a "responsible, courageous elite" after elections to address what she calls public "mistrust" of democracy.²
"I believe the time has come for a responsible, courageous elite, those who care far more about addressing the genuine social problems than about election results," Licht wrote.³
"Only a political elite with vision, prudence and a focus on the general good—to whom the electorate can cede part of their sovereignty in the elections—will be able to justify public trust and spearhead our struggle to survive," she added.⁴
Utah software engineer Jennica Pounds, who goes by DataRepublican on social media, exposed the document and said it left her feeling "sick" after reading it.⁵
Read that again.
The solution to "mistrust" in democracy is less democracy.
Let an unelected elite override what voters choose at the ballot box.
These are the same people who spent years screaming that Trump was a "threat to democracy."
Now they're openly proposing to abolish actual democratic accountability.
And Licht didn't describe this vision as the authoritarian nightmare it obviously is.
She called it a "utopia."⁶
Democracy expert calls for ending democracy
Licht isn't some fringe figure spouting radical theories from the basement of a left-wing think tank.
For more than a decade, she served as CEO of Soros's Fund for an Open Society in Yugoslavia and Serbia, making her one of his most trusted lieutenants during the post-Cold War period.⁷
The international establishment has showered her with honors for her "democracy" work.
Italy, France, Germany, and the Council of Europe all gave Licht their highest civilian awards.⁸
She's literally described as an expert on "basic principles of human rights, democracy and the rule of law."⁹
So naturally, her solution to democracy problems is eliminating democracy.
The hypocrisy would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous.
For decades, the Left has wrapped itself in the language of democracy while working overtime to subvert it.
They lecture Americans constantly about "protecting democracy" and "threats to our institutions."
Then one of their most decorated experts publishes a document saying voters should hand their power to unelected elites.
This is who they've always been.
They don't want democracy – they want control.
And when voters keep choosing the "wrong" candidates, the mask slips and they admit it.
Licht also has connections to USAID, another favorite tool of the globalist establishment for interfering in foreign nations under the guise of promoting democracy.¹⁰
Trump Administration targets Soros network following Charlie Kirk assassination
The document surfaced just as the Trump Administration intensifies scrutiny of Soros's organizations.
Following the September 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Vice President JD Vance warned the administration would investigate the "NGO network that foments, facilitates and engages in violence."¹¹
Vance specifically named the Open Society Foundations and Ford Foundation.¹²
President Trump called Soros a "likely candidate" for prosecution, though he didn't specify the exact charges being considered.¹³
The administration's crackdown extends beyond Soros personally.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the Department of Justice would pursue investigations into nonprofit organizations allegedly connected to funding violence and unrest.¹⁴
Open Society Foundations spent over $23 billion since 1993 on progressive causes worldwide, including $1.2 billion in 2024 alone.¹⁵
The network operates in over 120 countries and has been accused repeatedly of destabilizing sovereign nations through funding activist movements and color revolutions.¹⁶
Several countries already banned Open Society operations before Trump took office.
Russia declared the foundations a threat to national security in 2015.¹⁷
India placed them on a watchlist in 2016, forbidding financial assistance without explicit permission.¹⁸
Hungary's Viktor Orban passed "Stop Soros" laws and forced the foundation to relocate from Budapest to Berlin in 2018.¹⁹
Soros document reveals what the Left really means by "protecting democracy"
The Licht document exposes what Soros and his allies have been working toward for decades.
When the Left talks about "protecting democracy," they don't mean protecting your right to vote.
They mean protecting their ability to override your vote when you choose wrong.
These billionaire philanthropists spent billions building a network to "strengthen democratic institutions."
But strengthening democracy apparently means creating a system where unelected experts make the real decisions regardless of what voters want.
Think about every time Democrats screamed about threats to democracy over the last few years.
Every Trump policy they claimed would "undermine our democratic norms."
Every Supreme Court decision they said was "attacking the foundations of our republic."
Now we know what they actually meant.
They weren't defending democracy – they were defending their ability to control outcomes even when voters reject them.
The timing couldn't be more perfect.
Trump won a massive mandate last November.
Voters handed him a decisive victory based partly on rage at unaccountable elites trying to override their wishes.
And within days, a senior Soros operative publishes a document admitting that overriding voter wishes is exactly the plan.
You can't make this stuff up.
Conservatives have been called conspiracy theorists for decades for warning about the globalist agenda to erode national sovereignty and democratic accountability.
Licht just proved every "conspiracy theory" was accurate analysis all along.
The Open Society Foundations claims it "unequivocally condemns" violence and operates "peacefully and lawfully."²⁰
Sure.
Peacefully working to eliminate democratic accountability.
Lawfully funding a global network that openly advocates for citizens surrendering their power to unelected elites.
That's not defending democracy – it's the opposite.
Every time you hear the Left shriek about protecting democracy going forward, remember this document.
They don't mean protecting your voice.
They mean silencing it.
Voters elected Trump to drain the swamp and restore power to the American people.
The Soros network wants to take that power and hand it to unaccountable bureaucrats and "responsible elites" who know better than you.
This is the fight.
And Trump's crackdown on these organizations just became a whole lot more urgent.
