The Biden DOJ's surveillance dragnet caught everyone by surprise.

Federal investigators targeted conservatives without mercy.

And a former Fox News star revealed one terrifying reason that Jack Smith spied on him.

The Biden Justice Department conducted one of the most sweeping political surveillance operations in American history under the code name Arctic Frost.

Former Fox News host and current Newsmax anchor Ed Henry just learned he was caught in special counsel Jack Smith's dragnet over a charity song he produced with President Donald Trump and the J6 Prison Choir.

Henry appeared on Greg Kelly Reports and dropped a bombshell about discovering the federal government secretly obtained his private records without his knowledge.

Federal investigators thought they had Trump dead to rights on corruption charges over a charity project.

FBI obtained Apple Music records without notifying Henry

The Justice for All project featured Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance over the J6 Prison Choir singing the national anthem.¹

Henry produced the song in 2023 with all proceeds going to legal defense funds for January 6 defendants and their families.²

Smith's team suspected Trump was pocketing money from the charity song through an LLC Henry allegedly set up.

"Jack Smith thought that Donald Trump was pocketing money here," Henry told Kelly.³ "Based on the emails we're now learning — Sen. [Chuck] Grassley gets the credit. He's got whistleblowers."

The government obtained Apple Music records tied to Henry as part of the Arctic Frost investigation into more than 400 Republicans.⁴

Smith's prosecutors demanded bank records trying to prove Henry created an LLC to funnel royalties to himself instead of the J6 families.

"They said [Henry] set up an LLC to get the royalties, which again went to Kash Patel's nonprofit and then to J6 families," Henry explained.⁵ "But let's dig into the LLC, let's get the bank records — that was their approach."

Henry never received a subpoena or any notice from a judge that the government was coming after him.

"I never got a subpoena, Greg," Henry said.⁶ "I never got a judge telling me, Hey, they're coming after you. As an American citizen, you're owed that."

Arctic Frost swept up 400+ conservatives in political dragnet

Grassley's oversight exposed the staggering scope of Arctic Frost through whistleblower documents showing Smith issued 197 subpoenas seeking records on more than 430 Republican individuals and organizations.⁷

The investigation didn't just target Trump and his inner circle.

Smith's team obtained phone records from eight Republican senators and cast a surveillance net over prominent conservatives including former Speaker Newt Gingrich, businessman Mike Lindell, and even Newsmax as a media entity.⁸

Congressional investigators discovered FBI emails specifically naming Henry as part of the investigation.

"They were subpoenaing bank records and other things," Henry revealed.⁹ "Bottom line is, they had emails saying, 'Ed Henry's behind this.' These were FBI and DOJ people under Joe Biden."

Arctic Frost began in April 2022 under then-FBI Director Christopher Wray as a probe into Trump's 2020 alternate electors before Attorney General Merrick Garland elevated it and appointed Smith as special counsel in November 2022.¹⁰

The investigation formed the backbone of Smith's four-count indictment against Trump over challenging the 2020 election, but most individuals placed under surveillance were never accused of wrongdoing.¹¹

Republican critics are calling Arctic Frost the Biden administration's Watergate.

Senator Ted Cruz discovered that Smith collected his personal cell phone records from AT&T without notification after a judge issued a secret order barring the carrier from informing him.¹²

"Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus," Grassley said.¹³ "Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a fishing expedition."

The Biden DOJ weaponized federal law enforcement to surveil political opponents on a massive scale that makes Richard Nixon look like an amateur.

Henry's revelation about being targeted over a charity song shows how Smith's team viewed every Trump supporter as a potential criminal worthy of secret surveillance. This wasn't law enforcement — it was political persecution disguised as investigation.
