The Deep State thought they’d gotten away with it.
They weaponized federal agencies against Trump and his supporters for four years.
But Trump’s brutal plan to smash the Deep State was just revealed by Tulsi Gabbard.
Trump’s secret task force has been hunting the Deep State since April
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard confirmed what many suspected — President Trump’s administration has been systematically dismantling the Deep State apparatus for months.¹
The Interagency Weaponization Working Group, which Gabbard organized, has been meeting biweekly since April to coordinate accountability across the intelligence community and law enforcement.²
Government records reviewed by Reuters identified 39 officials from the CIA, FBI, DOJ, White House, Department of Homeland Security, IRS, and Federal Communications Commission participating in the group.³
This isn’t oversight committees writing strongly-worded letters.
This is the intelligence community turning its tools inward to expose how the Biden administration weaponized government against conservatives, parents at school board meetings, pro-life activists, and anyone who questioned COVID mandates.
"The American people made a clear choice when they elected President Trump — to stop the Biden administration’s prolific and dangerous weaponization of government agencies against the American people and the Constitution," Gabbard told Fox News Digital.⁴
The working group stemmed directly from Trump’s Day One executive order instructing agencies to identify and correct "past misconduct by the federal government related to the weaponization of law enforcement and the weaponization of the Intelligence Community."⁵
While Democrats and their media allies screamed about Trump targeting political enemies, his team was already six months deep into systematic evidence gathering across every agency Biden corrupted.
The Biden weaponization playbook gets exposed
A House Judiciary Committee investigation released a 17,000-page report in December 2024 documenting the full scope of Biden’s government weaponization.⁶
The committee found Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted the Biden-Harris White House pressured his company to censor Americans.⁷
FBI whistleblowers came forward despite retaliation to reveal how the bureau targeted parents protesting at school board meetings as domestic terrorists.⁸
The investigation uncovered evidence that the Biden campaign coordinated with 51 former intelligence officials to falsely claim Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation weeks before the 2020 election.⁹
Department of Justice prosecuted over 1,500 Americans connected to January 6 while dropping nearly all cases against BLM rioters who burned cities.¹⁰
Pro-life activists got FBI raids at dawn while violent attacks on pregnancy centers went uninvestigated.
Catholics attending traditional Latin Mass found themselves labeled as potential domestic extremists in internal FBI memos.¹¹
The Transportation Security Administration under the Biden administration even targeted Americans who opposed mask mandates by placing them on watchlists and denying them plane boarding passes.¹²
All of this happened while Biden officials claimed they were protecting democracy.
The House committee documented it.
Now Trump’s interagency working group is building the cases to hold people accountable.
Former FBI Director Comey and Dr. Fauci discussed as potential targets
Sources familiar with the working group told Reuters that discussions have included former FBI Director James Comey, former chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci, and top military officials who made COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for servicemembers.¹³
Conversations about potential accountability have even extended to Hunter Biden.¹⁴
Senior ODNI officials pushed back on claims the group is targeting individuals for retribution.
"IWWG is simply looking at available facts and evidence that may point to actions, reports, agencies, individuals, etc who illegally weaponized the government in order to carry out political attacks," the official said.¹⁵
But the composition of the group tells a different story.
Key players include Justice Department attorney Ed Martin, who also oversees Attorney General Pam Bondi’s separate DOJ weaponization task force.¹⁶
Martin failed to win Senate confirmation as U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C. after lawmakers expressed concerns about his support for January 6 defendants.¹⁷
Paul McNamara, an ODNI official who oversees Gabbard’s Directors Initiatives Group, plays a central coordinating role.¹⁸
The working group includes COVID-19 vaccine mandate opponents and supporters of investigating 2020 election irregularities, according to Reuters’ review of participants’ social media accounts and public statements.¹⁹
These aren’t bureaucrats interested in preserving the status quo.
They’re true believers in rooting out the political corruption that infected federal agencies under Biden.
Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Patel lead the charge
Attorney General Pam Bondi didn’t mince words about what her Justice Department found.
"Joe Biden’s Department of Justice targeted President Trump and anyone close to him, prosecuted pro-life advocates, treated parents at school board meetings as domestic terrorists, and destroyed public trust in federal law enforcement," Bondi told Fox News Digital.²⁰
"Under President Trump, we are working every day alongside our partners to end weaponization and restore one tier of justice for all."
FBI Director Kash Patel echoed that commitment.
"We’re restoring equal justice under the law, one standard, one mission: protect the American people," Patel said.²¹
The coordinated nature of the effort separates this from previous Republican attempts to investigate government overreach.
Past oversight efforts relied on congressional committees issuing subpoenas and holding hearings while Democrats stonewalled and ran out the clock.
This time, the President’s own intelligence and law enforcement apparatus is conducting the investigation with full access to classified information, internal communications, and the legal authority to act on what they find.
Officials told Fox News Digital the group holds biweekly meetings to "share information, coordinate, and execute."²²
That final word — execute — is what has the Deep State terrified.
Left-wing media melts down over lawful oversight
Predictably, Democrats and their media allies immediately characterized the working group as Trump using government power to target political enemies.
A senior ODNI official called out the hypocrisy.
"The irony is, accusing the Interagency Weaponization Working Group of targeting the president’s political opponents is classic projection and could not be further from the truth," the official stated.²³
"The weaponization of government against Americans did not happen in one agency, one time. It happened repeatedly over the duration of the Biden administration."
Another official explained why coordinated action across agencies matters.
"That’s why, in order to depoliticize and deweaponize the government, it is important to understand what agencies carried out, what roles, and why. The IWWG is essential for coordinating across agencies."²⁴
ODNI Press Secretary Olivia Coleman put it simply.
"Once again, the fake news media is bending over backwards to turn a success for the Trump Administration and a win for the American people into a smear job," Coleman told the Daily Caller.²⁵
"After YEARS of lawfare by the Biden Administration, Americans deserve a government committed to deweaponizing, depoliticizing, and ensuring that power is never again turned against the people it’s meant to serve."
The same people who cheered when FBI agents raided Mar-a-Lago are now clutching their pearls about Trump investigating actual government corruption.
The same media that ignored Biden’s DOJ prosecuting grandmothers for praying outside abortion clinics suddenly cares deeply about civil liberties when Democrats face accountability.
"Oversight is not the problem — abuse of power is," a senior official told Fox News Digital.²⁶
That’s the line Democrats don’t want to cross.
Because once the American people understand the full scope of how Biden weaponized intelligence agencies, law enforcement, and the IRS against political opponents, there’s no coming back from that.
The evidence exists in internal communications, surveillance requests, and coordination between agencies that had no business working together on domestic political matters.
Trump’s team spent months quietly gathering it all before Reuters forced them to acknowledge the group’s existence.
Now the real work begins.
Former intelligence officials who signed that letter calling Hunter’s laptop Russian disinformation should be asking their lawyers about security clearance reviews.
FBI agents who approved targeting parents as domestic terrorists might want to refresh their memories about what they knew and when.
DOJ prosecutors who brought selective charges against conservatives while ignoring violence from the Left better hope they documented their decision-making process.
And the senior officials who ordered it all — from the White House to DOJ leadership to intelligence agency heads — are about to find out that "just following orders" doesn’t work when those orders violated the Constitution.
The Biden administration spent four years proving that no one is above the law by prosecuting Trump and his supporters.
Now they get to find out if they actually meant it.
