Democrats in Virginia got caught red-handed defending the indefensible.
Their candidate for attorney general crossed a line that should end any political career.
And embattled Virginia Democrat AG candidate was busted for another sick fantasy that will leave you disgusted.
Jones suggested killing police officers would reduce shootings
Jay Jones, the Democrat candidate for Virginia attorney general, allegedly told a Republican lawmaker that maybe police officers needed to die to change their behavior.
The shocking admission came during a 2020 phone conversation with Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner about qualified immunity protections for police officers.
Jones was trying to convince Coyner that cops shouldn’t have legal protections when they’re doing their jobs.
"And I said, ‘I believe that people will get killed. Police officers will get killed.’ And [Jones] said, ‘Well, maybe if a few of them died, that they would move on, not shooting people, not killing people,’" Coyner told Virginia Scope.¹
Coyner said she was stunned by the response and told Jones his suggestion was "insane."
But Jones wasn’t backing down from his position that dead cops would somehow make policing better.
The timing of this conversation makes Jones’ comments even more disturbing.
This was 2020 – right when anti-police riots were tearing apart American cities and officers were being targeted for assassination.
Jones denied making the comments, telling Virginia Scope, "I did not say this. I have never believed and do not believe that any harm should come to law enforcement, period."²
Jones’ team of violent fantasies keeps growing
The police killing comments are just the latest in a growing pattern of violent rhetoric from Jones.
Last week, reports surfaced that Jones sent messages saying it would be a "good thing" if his Republican colleague’s children died.
"Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head," Jones wrote in a 2022 text message to Delegate Carrie Coyner about then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert.³
When Coyner pushed back about Jones "hoping Jennifer Gilbert’s children would die," Jones confirmed: "Yes. I’ve told you this before. Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy."⁴
He also called the Gilbert family’s young children "little fascists" and said Gilbert and his wife were "breeding little fascists."⁵
Jones defended his violent fantasies by claiming that "only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy."
You read that correctly – Jones thinks terrorizing families will get him the political results he wants.
This isn’t political rhetoric – it’s dangerous extremism from someone who wants to be the state’s top law enforcement officer.
Democrat leaders refuse to abandon their extremist candidate
Here’s what makes this story even more disturbing.
Virginia Democrats are standing by Jones despite his repeated fantasies about political violence.
The Federalist reached out to gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger and lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Ghazala Hashmi to see if they would reconsider their endorsements of Jones.
Neither responded – which tells you everything about where Democrat priorities really lie.
These are the same people who spent years claiming that President Donald Trump’s rhetoric was "dangerous to democracy."
But when their own candidate openly fantasizes about dead cops and murdered children, they go silent.
Look, the hypocrisy here is breathtaking.
Democrats lecture Republicans about "violent rhetoric" every time a conservative politician uses strong language.
But when one of their attorney general candidates suggests that killing police officers would improve law enforcement, that’s apparently just fine.
Jones’ credibility problems go beyond violent fantasies
The violence isn’t Jones’ only problem.
A new report from Restoration News found that Jones was supposed to complete court-ordered community service with a non-political, charitable organization after his 2022 reckless driving arrest.
Instead, Jones reportedly completed his community service with his own political action committee.
That’s not just breaking the rules – it’s treating the justice system like his personal playground.
Fox Business also discovered that despite his law firm biography claiming he has "extensive trial experience," there’s no credible public evidence that Jones ever tried a case in court.
So he’s lying about his professional qualifications while fantasizing about political violence.
This is who Virginia Democrats want as their top law enforcement officer.
The pattern is clear here.
Jay Jones thinks the legal system exists to serve his political ambitions, not to protect Virginia families.
He believes violence against his political opponents – including their children – would be a "good thing."
And he suggests that killing police officers would somehow make communities safer.
Virginia voters deserve better than a wannabe attorney general who fantasizes about political murder and treats court orders as suggestions.
The fact that Democrat leaders won’t distance themselves from Jones shows exactly how far left their party has moved.
When your candidate openly advocates for political violence, and your response is silence, you’ve lost any claim to moral authority.
Jones isn’t going anywhere – and that tells you everything about today’s Democrats
Here’s the reality nobody wants to admit.
Jay Jones is not going to drop out of this race.
Why would he?
Democrats have already signaled that it’s morally acceptable to still vote for him, and they believe they have the votes to drag him across the finish line.
They’re going to try to elect him Attorney General of Virginia because they don’t think there’s any price they might pay for doing so.
It costs them nothing to stand by him and try to pick up the most powerful law enforcement office in the state.
Think about what that reveals about their priorities.
If Jay Jones believed trans women were men and that they shouldn’t be allowed in women’s sports or bathrooms, Democrats would be abandoning their support for him and calling on him to drop out of the race.
Instead, he said he wants to shoot his political opponents and murder their children in their mother’s arms, so they feel comfortable sticking by him and electing him to the highest law enforcement office in Virginia.
This should tell you everything you need to know about what leftism really is.
Violence against conservatives? That’s forgivable.
Questioning woke ideology? That’s unforgivable.
Democrats have shown us their hierarchy of sins – and wanting to kill Republican children ranks below disagreeing with transgender activists.
That’s not a political party anymore.
That’s a radical movement that will excuse any violence as long as it serves their agenda.
