FBI agents stalking sitting members of Congress sounds like something out of a banana republic.

But newly released documents prove it happened right here in America under Joe Biden’s watch.

And Jim Jordan exposed the FBI’s illegal spying operation on this top Republican.

House Judiciary Chairman exposes month-long surveillance scheme

The details that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan just made public read like something from East Germany, not the United States.

Internal FBI documents reveal agents spent weeks following Congressman Scott Perry (R-PA) around like he was plotting to overthrow the government.

Jordan’s investigation uncovered records showing the bureau treated Perry worse than they treat actual terrorists.

One FBI document laid out their surveillance goals in chilling detail: "Goal from surveillance is to get a pattern of life, identify his vehicle, and possibly identify a location to serve him with a SW [seizure warrant]."¹

This wasn’t some rogue agent making bad decisions.

This was an organized operation targeting a sitting member of Congress because he dared to question the 2020 election results and support Donald Trump.

Jordan’s investigation reveals the scope of Biden’s political targeting

The documents Jordan obtained tell a story that should make every American’s skin crawl.

Here’s a sitting congressman – someone elected by his constituents to represent them in Washington – getting followed around by federal agents because he supported Donald Trump.

Russell Dye, Jordan’s spokesman, asked exactly the right questions about this surveillance scheme.

"Why were apparently undercover FBI agents surveilling Rep. Perry while representing his constituents at the US Capitol?" Dye wanted to know.³

"Was this something approved by Speaker Pelosi? Was it approved by the Democrat’s sham January 6th Committee? Should other Members be concerned that they were being watched for carrying out their constitutional duties?"

Those aren’t just good questions – they get to the heart of what this surveillance operation really represents.

Perry served as chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus and had refused to voluntarily cooperate with Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 committee witch hunt.

For that "crime," Biden’s FBI treated him like a terror suspect.

The agents even planned to secretly record an interview with Perry on the same day they seized his phone – which happened to be just one day after the unprecedented FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

What this surveillance scheme was really targeting

Here’s what Jim Jordan’s investigation exposed about the FBI’s real motives.

They weren’t conducting some legitimate law enforcement operation – they were building a political case against Trump by going after his congressional allies.

The FBI knew Perry had introduced Jeffrey Clark to President Trump during the final weeks of the 2020 election controversy.

Clark was one of the few Justice Department officials willing to take election irregularities seriously, which made him a threat to the establishment.

That made both Perry and Clark targets for Biden’s politicized FBI.

The surveillance documents also show agents tracking Perry’s text messages with Pennsylvania lawmakers who had asked Mitch McConnell to question the election certification.

Think about that for a minute.

The FBI was treating normal political communication between elected officials as potential criminal activity.

Perry and his colleagues were doing exactly what their constituents elected them to do – representing their concerns about election integrity.

For that, they got the full surveillance treatment from federal law enforcement.

The precedent this sets should terrify every American

Let’s be clear about what Jordan’s investigation has uncovered here.

We’re talking about federal agents conducting surveillance operations on elected members of Congress for doing their constitutional duties.

If they can treat Scott Perry this way for supporting Trump and questioning election procedures, what do you think they’re willing to do to ordinary Americans?

Perry said it best when he pointed out that his phone contained "legislative and political activities, and personal/private discussions with my wife, family, constituents, and friends."

None of that should be "the government’s business," as he put it.

But under Biden’s Department of Justice, supporting the wrong candidate or asking the wrong questions about elections makes you a surveillance target.

This wasn’t some isolated incident or rogue operation.

This was systematic political targeting of conservatives, coordinated at the highest levels of the FBI and approved by Merrick Garland’s Justice Department.

Thanks to Jim Jordan’s investigation, Americans are finally getting to see just how far this administration was willing to go to silence political opposition.

And what we’re seeing should make everyone who believes in the Constitution absolutely furious.
