Hunter Biden thinks he can take on the Trump family and win.

The president’s son just made a costly miscalculation.

And Jonathan Turley gave Hunter Biden one legal wake-up call that left him in serious trouble.

Hunter Biden’s war against Melania Trump just got a lot more dangerous

Hunter Biden picked the wrong fight at the worst possible time.

The president’s son launched a reckless attack against First Lady Melania Trump by repeating false allegations about her relationship with deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Now Biden faces a potential $1 billion lawsuit – and legal experts are warning he’s walking into a financial disaster.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley appeared on Fox News Channel’s "America’s Newsroom" to break down just how bad Hunter Biden’s situation has become.

The First Lady’s legal team sent Biden a demand letter through attorney Alejandro Brito on August 6, threatening the massive lawsuit over Biden’s inflammatory statements on "Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan."

Biden had cited biographer Michael Wolff’s unsubstantiated claims about the First Lady’s alleged connections to the disgraced financier.

But when given the chance to apologize and make this go away, Biden doubled down with a profanity-laced refusal.

"Fuck that," Biden declared when asked about apologizing for his "false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements."

That’s when Turley delivered his devastating assessment of Biden’s legal predicament.

Jonathan Turley exposes Hunter Biden’s fatal weakness

Turley didn’t mince words about Hunter Biden’s chances in this legal battle.

"In the notice letter, they said they would be seeking $1 billion and I can say right now without discovery [that] he doesn’t have it," Turley explained. "That’s a lot of paintings that he would have to move and their value has gone down dramatically since he left office."

The legal expert was referring to Biden’s notorious art sales that generated millions in payments from anonymous buyers during his father’s presidency.

But Turley identified an even bigger problem for Biden – the credibility of his source.

According to Turley, the First Lady’s legal team has systematically debunked these allegations, pointing to the questionable credibility of author Michael Wolff. "They really go after the source, this author named [Michael] Wolff who has been repeatedly challenged in terms of the accuracy of things he has written about the Trump family [and] the Trump administration," Turley explained.¹

Turley’s analysis revealed that Biden built his attack on quicksand.

Multiple news outlets have already backed down from these allegations after receiving legal pressure from Melania’s team.

The Daily Beast published a story with the headline "Melania Trump Was ‘Very Involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author" on July 30, but quickly retracted and apologized after getting a letter from the First Lady’s attorney.¹

Democratic strategist James Carville removed content from his podcast after facing similar legal pressure.²

Hunter Biden’s arrogance could cost him everything

What makes Biden’s position even more precarious is his combative response to the lawsuit threat.

Instead of cutting his losses, Biden claimed the legal letter was simply a "distraction" from the victims who Epstein abused and accused Melania’s legal team of trying to "scare" him.

"I also think they’re bullies," Biden continued in his interview. "And they think that a billion dollars is going to scare me."

Biden even challenged the President and First Lady to submit to depositions about their interactions with Epstein associates, claiming he would "provide them the platform" to clarify any relationships.¹

But Turley’s analysis shows why this bravado is misplaced.

The First Lady’s legal team has already demonstrated they can force retractions from major news outlets.

They’ve established a clear pattern of success in getting false claims about Melania retracted and apologies issued.

Meanwhile, Biden is relying on the word of Michael Wolff, whose credibility has been "repeatedly challenged" according to Turley.

The legal expert’s conclusion was stark: "This is not exactly welcome news for Hunter Biden."

By refusing to back down, Biden turned a manageable legal problem into something much bigger.

Biden’s strategy here makes no sense. He’s broke compared to what a billion-dollar lawsuit demands, and he’s dragging around more legal problems than a mob lawyer.

The First Lady’s legal team doesn’t mess around. They’ve already gotten The Daily Beast to pull their story and apologize, plus they forced James Carville to delete content from his podcast.

Hunter Biden bet everything on claims he borrowed from a discredited author – and Turley’s analysis suggests that gamble is about to backfire spectacularly.
