Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom were terrified after this reality star waged war on them

Reality TV stars aren’t supposed to become political powerbrokers.

But Spencer Pratt just proved that losing everything can turn anyone into a formidable opponent.

And Spencer Pratt took his war against Newsom and Bass to one place that has them terrified.

Spencer Pratt brings his fire victims crusade to Washington, D.C.

The Hills reality star lost his Pacific Palisades home – along with his mother’s house – in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires that exposed the complete incompetence of California’s political establishment.

But instead of quietly accepting his losses like most victims, Pratt decided to fight back.

And he just took his battle to the one place that can actually hold Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass accountable: Washington, D.C.

"Justice is coming," Pratt declared in an Instagram video after meeting with federal officials who have the power to investigate what really happened during the L.A. fire disaster.¹

The reality star revealed he met with Acting U.S. Attorney Bolal Essayli for the Central District of California – and the meeting was apparently very productive.

"The theme [of what we discussed] is in alignment with what many people in the Palisades and Altadena were already feeling – that there’s a lot more to FireAid than it seems," Pratt explained to Variety. "And let’s just say a lot more will be coming out, and this was not ‘Spencer spreading misinformation and suspicions of victims not actually receiving any of the FireAid funds.’ That investigation is a real deal type of thing."²

Federal officials take Pratt’s corruption allegations seriously

Pratt didn’t stop with just one meeting.

The reality star revealed he also sat down with Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, and officials at the Environmental Protection Agency.

That’s an impressive list of federal heavyweights for a reality TV personality – but Pratt’s message clearly resonated with people who have the authority to launch real investigations.

"I’m literally their worst nightmare because I have nothing to lose, and all I’m ever gonna do is just post actual facts," Pratt told Variety. "The more of these meetings I take, the more I find out about how preventable this was. It’s actually criminal negligence because in the Palisades fire alone, 12 people died. These people shouldn’t have died."³

Pratt’s transformation from reality star to fire victims’ advocate has been remarkable to watch.

He’s used his social media platform to expose the failures of California’s response while most victims have been ignored by the media.

But his trip to Washington, D.C. marked a turning point that should have Newsom and Bass very worried.

"To be in front of somebody who can provide answers to the victims who have been literally thinking about this all day long for over seven months, that was life changing," Pratt said. "Like I went through a portal on that one."⁴

Pratt says Newsom and Bass "destroyed my life"

The personal stakes couldn’t be higher for Pratt and other fire victims who lost everything.

"Everything I ever bought in my life burned down. Everything my parents ever bought in their life burned down," Pratt explained. "Like the stakes are so real."⁵

But what makes Pratt particularly dangerous for Newsom and Bass is that he’s no longer just an angry victim posting on social media.

He now has federal officials taking his allegations seriously and opening investigations into where the relief money actually went.

Pratt believes the L.A. fires may have ended Newsom’s presidential ambitions for 2028 – but he doesn’t care about the political implications.

"I’m doing this because they destroyed my life," Pratt stated. "It’s like, ‘I can’t ever have my life back.’ And when you really see everything laid out and the whole way they’ve spun it, it was just the biggest bunch of lies. Propaganda. This was the most preventable thing that could ever have been."⁶

The reality star said other fire victims have been reaching out to encourage his efforts.

"I’m becoming worse of a nightmare for them every day because now people are finding my number – other people whose lives burned down – and they send text messages that are like rocket fuel to me," he revealed.⁷

The federal investigation angle changes everything

What started as a social media campaign by an angry reality star has evolved into something much more serious.

Federal prosecutors now have the evidence Pratt has been collecting about the failures that led to the fires and the questionable handling of relief funds.

Newsom and Bass can ignore angry constituents and dismiss social media criticism.

But they can’t ignore federal investigations into potential criminal negligence and corruption.

Pratt’s decision to take his fight to Washington, D.C. was strategically brilliant.

He bypassed the California political establishment that has been protecting Newsom and Bass and went straight to federal officials who answer to President Trump.

The reality star clearly understands that real accountability will have to come from outside the corrupt California system that failed fire victims so catastrophically.

Pratt may have started as just another angry victim posting videos online.

But his transformation into a federal whistleblower has given him the platform and credibility to finally hold Newsom and Bass accountable for their failures.
