House Intelligence Committee drops bombshell report on CIA corruption
A bombshell House Intelligence Committee report released Wednesday reveals the shocking lengths former CIA Director John Brennan went to fabricate the Russia hoax against Donald Trump.¹
The explosive findings show Brennan ignored warnings from "veteran" CIA officers and ordered publication of a "substandard" intelligence report claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Trump to win in 2016.
But here’s the kicker – Brennan suppressed intelligence showing the Kremlin was actually preparing for a Hillary Clinton victory.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard didn’t mince words about the "egregious" corruption her team uncovered.
"Not only did CIA Director Brennan, FBI Director Comey, DNI [James] Clapper and others include the Steele Dossier in the 2017 ICA, they overruled senior Intel officials who warned them it was fabricated and should not be used," Gabbard said, She called it "the most egregious weaponization and politicization of intelligence in American history."
"In doing so, they conspired to subvert the will of the American people, working with their partners in the media to promote the lie, in order to undermine the legitimacy of President Trump, essentially enacting a years-long coup against him," she added.
Brennan forced fabricated Steele dossier into intelligence despite warnings
The details of Brennan’s corruption are absolutely staggering.
When senior CIA officers confronted Brennan about the Steele dossier failing to meet professional intelligence standards, his response was jaw-dropping.
"Yes, but doesn’t it ring true?" Brennan reportedly responded when warned the intelligence was fabricated.
Think about that for a moment – the CIA Director admitting evidence didn’t meet professional standards but pushing it anyway because it sounded good to him politically.
The report shows how CIA officers warned their leadership about intelligence that failed to meet basic professional standards, but Brennan pushed it through anyway.
These weren’t intelligence professionals following the evidence – they were political operatives manufacturing a narrative.
According to the explosive findings, only a "scant, unclear, and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard reports constitutes the only classified information cited to suggest Putin ‘aspired’ to help Trump win."
That’s the entire foundation of the Russia hoax that dominated headlines for years and launched multiple investigations.
CIA officers tried to stop the corruption but were overruled
The most damning aspect of this scandal is how veteran CIA officers tried to prevent this abuse of intelligence.
"CIA officers said that some of this information had been held on the orders of [Brennan], while other reporting had been judged by experienced CIA officers to have not met longstanding publication standards," the House report documented.
Brennan suppressed intelligence that contradicted his anti-Trump narrative, including statements from a Putin associate who said the Russian president "told him he did not care who won the election."
This source also revealed Putin "had often outlined the weaknesses of both major candidates" and believed "Russia was strategically placed to outmaneuver either [Clinton or Trump]."
But Brennan suppressed this intelligence because it didn’t support his predetermined conclusion.
The House investigation found that experienced CIA officers described withheld intelligence as having questionable origins and reliability issues.
Intelligence professionals determined this material didn’t meet publication standards, yet it was released after the election despite officer objections and used in the Intelligence Community Assessment supporting claims about Putin’s election preferences.
Obama directed the entire operation from the Oval Office
The corruption goes straight to the top of the Obama administration.
Declassified records show Barack Obama personally directed spy chiefs at a December 9, 2016 Oval Office meeting to produce the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that launched the Russia hoax.
Trump’s reaction was appropriately furious when he learned about Obama’s direct involvement.
"It’s criminal at the highest level," Trump declared about his predecessor. "He’s guilty . . . This was treason, this was every word you could think of. They tried to steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election."
James Clapper’s assistant emailed spy agency leaders the same day asking for an assessment "per the President’s request" to describe "tools Moscow used and actions it took to influence the 2016 election."
This wasn’t intelligence gathering – it was opposition research ordered from the Oval Office.
The Russia hoax set Trump investigations in motion
The fraudulent Intelligence Community Assessment set in motion the federal and congressional investigations that plagued Trump’s presidency.
Special counsel investigations by Robert Mueller and John Durham ultimately discredited the allegations, but not before inflicting massive political damage.
As Gabbard stated: "The Russia Hoax was a lie that was knowingly created by the Obama Administration to undermine the legitimacy and power of the duly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump."
Obama’s spokesman tried damage control Tuesday, calling the allegations "outrageous" and "ridiculous."
But the evidence is clear – this was a coordinated effort by the highest levels of the Obama administration to weaponize intelligence against their political opponent.
Even the 2020 bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report that Democrats cite admitted it "does not know with confidence" what Moscow’s intentions actually were.
The committee found "no evidence that any votes were changed or that any voting machines were manipulated."
After years of investigations costing millions of taxpayer dollars, the only thing proven was that John Brennan, James Comey, and Barack Obama abused their power to undermine Donald Trump.
The American people deserve accountability for this unprecedented corruption of our intelligence agencies.
