Pam Bondi just got handed the case that could make or break her legacy as Attorney General.
The deep state’s most untouchable figure is now squarely in her crosshairs.
And Pam Bondi has one decision that could finally send John Brennan to prison.
CIA Director Ratcliffe Drops the Hammer on Obama’s Spy Chief
Former CIA Director John Brennan has been living on borrowed time ever since he helped orchestrate the Russia collusion hoax against Donald Trump.
The Obama administration’s top spy chief played a central role in pushing the discredited Steele dossier into the 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment that falsely claimed Russia was working to help Trump win the election.
For years, Brennan appeared to be in the clear after Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation failed to bring charges against him and other key Russiagate figures.
But there’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s not playing games.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe just made a criminal referral to FBI Director Kash Patel regarding possible criminal activity by Brennan, sources familiar with the situation told Just the News.¹
The referral follows a damning CIA review released last week that ripped Brennan’s decision to include the bogus Steele dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment.
Now it’s up to Attorney General Pam Bondi to decide whether to finally hold Brennan accountable for his role in the worst political scandal in American history.
Brennan’s Web of Lies Finally Catches Up to Him
The criminal referral likely centers on Brennan’s potentially false statements to Congress about his role in the Intelligence Community Assessment and the Steele dossier.
Brennan spoke with Durham in August 2020 and testified before the House Judiciary Committee in May 2023.
Given the five-year statute of limitations for lying to Congress, Brennan could face criminal charges until August of this year for his Durham interview or until May 2028 for his House testimony.
The irony is that Brennan publicly called Trump’s claims of no Russian collusion “hogwash” just days before admitting to Durham that Mueller’s investigation “found no conspiracy.”²
Talk about getting caught red-handed.
In his May 2023 testimony, Brennan claimed he “was not involved in analyzing the dossier at all” and said “the first time I actually saw it, it was after the election.”³
But the CIA’s own review tells a completely different story.
The agency found that “despite these objections, Brennan showed a preference for narrative consistency over analytical soundness” when it came to including the Steele dossier.⁴
The CIA Review Exposes Brennan’s Deception
The declassified CIA review released this month absolutely destroyed Brennan’s credibility.
The agency concluded that “the decision by agency heads to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA ran counter to fundamental tradecraft principles and ultimately undermined the credibility of a key judgment.”⁵
Even more damning, the CIA’s Deputy Director for Analysis warned Brennan in a December 29, 2016 email that including the dossier in any form risked “the credibility of the entire paper.”⁶
But Brennan ignored the warnings and pushed forward anyway.
The review found that when confronted with specific flaws in the Steele dossier by CIA mission center leaders, Brennan “appeared more swayed by the Dossier’s general conformity with existing theories than by legitimate tradecraft concerns.”⁷
In other words, Brennan cared more about pushing a narrative against Trump than following proper intelligence procedures.
Brennan’s Lawyer Tries Damage Control
Brennan’s lawyer Kenneth Wainstein sent a lengthy letter to Durham in 2022 trying to defend his client’s actions.
Wainstein claimed Brennan had “minimal” involvement in the Intelligence Community Assessment and that he actually “objected to including the Steele dossier in the ICA, citing the absence of corroboration for the information it contained.”⁸
But this directly contradicts the CIA’s own review, which found that Brennan ultimately formalized his position in writing, arguing that “my bottomline is that I believe that the information warrants inclusion in the report.”⁹
You can’t have it both ways.
Either Brennan opposed including the dossier or he supported it.
The CIA’s review makes it clear he was pushing for its inclusion despite warnings from his own analysts.
The Clinton Plan Intelligence Adds Another Layer
The criminal referral may also involve Brennan’s handling of what Durham called the “Clinton Plan intelligence.”
This was intelligence showing that Hillary Clinton had approved a plan to tie Trump to Russia as a way to distract from her private email server scandal.
Durham found that Brennan briefed President Obama, Vice President Biden, and FBI Director Comey about this intelligence in August 2016.¹⁰
The CIA even sent a referral memo to the FBI stating that Clinton had approved “a plan concerning U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”¹¹
Yet the FBI continued to pursue the Trump-Russia investigation while largely ignoring this intelligence about Clinton’s campaign.
Durham Let Brennan Slide, But Bondi Won’t
Durham’s investigation was a massive disappointment for conservatives who expected accountability for the Russia hoax.
The special counsel brought only three prosecutions – FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who pleaded guilty to falsifying a document, and two others who were acquitted at trial.
Brennan escaped without any charges despite his central role in the scandal.
But Attorney General Pam Bondi isn’t John Durham.
She’s already shown she’s willing to take on the deep state by going after judges who are blocking Trump’s agenda.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan believes “it looks like he may have said something that wasn’t accurate” when Brennan testified in 2023.¹²
Jordan told Just the News that “We want to take a look at this, and we’ll see what else Mr. Ratcliffe may do, or what, if anything, the Department of Justice may do, what Attorney General Bondi may do with this information as well.”¹³
The Walls Are Closing In
Brennan is clearly worried about the criminal referral.
He told MSNBC that “I know nothing about this reported investigation or referral to the DOJ” and that “nobody from the FBI or Department of Justice or CIA has reached out to me at all.”¹⁴
He also told Reuters that the episode is “unfortunately a very sad and tragic example of the continued politicization of the intelligence community.”¹⁵
That’s rich coming from the guy who politicized the intelligence community to go after Trump.
Brennan was also one of the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter in October 2020, baselessly claiming Russian involvement.
The House Judiciary Committee later revealed that the debunked letter was written to give Joe Biden a “talking point” in his debate with Trump.¹⁶
So there you have it.
Brennan helped cook up the Russia hoax, pushed bogus intelligence to frame Trump, and then helped cover for Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal.
This guy’s been playing dirty politics with America’s national security for years.
And now he’s acting shocked that someone might actually hold him accountable for it.
With Ratcliffe’s criminal referral and Bondi at the helm of the Justice Department, Brennan’s days of skating by may finally be over.
The deep state’s reckoning is coming, and it starts with holding the ringleaders accountable.
