The anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles have been raging for days with protesters burning cars, attacking law enforcement, and causing chaos in the streets.
But if you only watched the mainstream media coverage, you’d think it was just another peaceful demonstration.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld noticed something deeply troubling about how the networks were covering the violent riots.
During a segment on "The Five," Gutfeld pointed out that none of the major networks seemed interested in actually interviewing the protesters who were causing the destruction.
"What I find interesting is how come the networks aren’t interviewing the protesters? There’s a selective shielding going on," Gutfeld told his panel. "They know the protesters are the worst spokesmen for the protest."
Gutfeld hit the nail on the head about what the media was really doing.
They weren’t just avoiding the rioters by accident.
They were deliberately protecting them because they knew these violent radicals would expose the true nature of the so-called "protests."
"So, as the media, ‘we’ll take care of that for you … we will be your spokesman,’" Gutfeld explained. "Their delusional commentary alongside the videos of the rioters and the arson is a perfect juxtaposition of reality and ideology. Our eyes, we can see the destruction, but their mouths are trying to get into our ears, telling us it’s ‘mostly peaceful.’"
The media can’t hide the truth from Americans
Gutfeld made a crucial point about why the media’s propaganda campaign is failing.
No amount of spin can hide what Americans are seeing with their own eyes.
"But there’s no better persuasion than the visual. Every video strengthens Trump’s position and reminds us how wrong the media was on everything from the ‘summer of love’ to the fall of [former President Joe] Biden," Gutfeld continued.
The riots have been anything but peaceful, despite what Democrats and their media allies want Americans to believe.
Rioters have been blocking freeways, throwing chunks of concrete at law enforcement officers, and burning Waymo cars in the streets.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom tried to downplay the violence.
They claimed police had everything under control and that President Trump didn’t need to call in the National Guard and U.S. Marines.
But LA Police Chief Jim McDonnell destroyed that narrative when he spoke honestly about what was really happening on the ground.
"We are overwhelmed … There is no limit to what they are doing to our officers," McDonnell said. "And again, as I mentioned in my statement, I can’t thank our folks enough and our partner agency police officials for going out there and taking care of the community."
When the media pressed McDonnell about whether the National Guard was really necessary, he didn’t hesitate to tell the truth.
"This thing has gotten out of control," McDonnell said of the riots.
He also called out the radical leftists who were orchestrating the violence, saying they were moving from "one civil unrest situation to another. Using similar tactics frequently, and they are connected."
Gutfeld has been destroying the legacy media’s credibility
This isn’t the first time Gutfeld has exposed the media’s dishonest tactics.
He recently eviscerated their pathetic attempt to rewrite history about their role in covering up Joe Biden’s mental decline.
CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios correspondent Alex Thompson are writing a book called "Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, It’s cover-up, and his disastrous choice to run again."
Tapper has been claiming that "the White House was lying to the press," "members of their own cabinet," "White House staffers," and more about "how bad" Biden’s decline had become.
But as Gutfeld and others have pointed out, the press can’t claim there was a cover-up of something Americans saw every single day.
Every time Biden appeared in public or spoke on television, his mental decline was obvious to anyone with eyes.
The media chose to ignore it and attack anyone who dared to point it out.
Now they want to pretend they were victims of a cover-up instead of willing participants in deceiving the American people.
The legacy media’s credibility is in shambles because Americans have figured out their game.
They’re not journalists seeking the truth.
They’re activists pushing a political agenda, and they’ll hide, distort, or fabricate whatever it takes to advance their cause.
