Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) has had enough of the games being played in Washington, D.C.
The Tennessee Republican appeared on Real America’s Voice and absolutely unloaded on his fellow members of Congress for refusing to act on the massive cuts identified by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.
What Burchett said next will make every corrupt politician in Washington break out in a cold sweat.
“THE MONEY’S NOT GOING THERE, IT’S GOING TO WASHINGTON! IT’S PAYING CONGRESS MEMBERS! I DON’T CARE IF THEY’RE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT, I HOPE TO SEE THEM IN CUFFS!” Burchett declared during his fiery interview.
The Congressman didn’t mince words about what he thinks should happen to politicians who have been stealing from the American people.
“Listen, I don’t care if Republican or Democrat, I hope to see them in cuffs,” Burchett continued. “I hope they take them, drag them out of the dadgum Capitol and I will applaud them. I will go get a selfie with them as they’re crying their tears because I’m sick of this stuff. We’re stealing from the American public.”
Burchett’s explosive comments came as he discussed the millions of taxpayer dollars still flowing into Afghanistan and the vast network of non-government organizations that are draining the national treasury.
Elon Musk deserves a medal for exposing the corruption
Burchett heaped praise on Elon Musk for his work with DOGE in exposing the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government.
The billionaire entrepreneur has been shining a spotlight on outrageous government spending that would make taxpayers’ blood boil.
“This is the tip of the iceberg. They ought to pin a medal on Elon Musk, on his chest,” Burchett stated.
The Congressman explained why so many politicians are defending the wasteful spending that DOGE has uncovered.
It’s not because they believe in these programs.
It’s because they’re getting paid.
“These lunatics on the left that are defending these crazy expenditures — the reason they are is because the money’s not going there, it’s going to Washington. It’s paying Congress members!” Burchett revealed.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley agrees that Musk deserves recognition for his service to the country.
“Now that Elon Musk has returned to his businesses, it is time to acknowledge his legacy in advancing space exploration, electric vehicles, free speech, and other public service. Trump should award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Turley posted on X.

Americans are ready for real accountability
Burchett’s passionate plea for accountability struck a nerve with Americans who are fed up with the corruption in Washington.
Social media users rallied behind the Tennessee Congressman’s call for justice.
“Gawd I love Tim Burchett! That’s the fire we need in Congress!” one user posted on X.
Another supporter wrote, “I agree. All those partaking in stealing from the American people should be wearing silver bracelets and orange jumpsuits.”
“The more I see and hear @timburchett, the more I like him. We need more like him in our congress, for sure. He is fantastic, and this needs to go viral,” posted another fan.
Not everyone was impressed with Burchett’s rhetoric without action.
One critic challenged the Congressman to put up or shut up.
“If Burchett is so sure that people in Congress are taking our tax dollars for their own personal benefit, then he’s a damned coward for not mentioning names or helping to bring charges against them!” the user posted.
Another expressed skepticism about whether Burchett would follow through on his tough talk.
“I hope Tim Burchett doesn’t turn out to be another Jim Jordan, arriving with high expectations only to ultimately disappoint,” they wrote.
The Swamp creatures are getting nervous
Burchett’s comments represent a growing frustration among conservatives who are tired of watching politicians talk tough about government waste while doing nothing to stop it.
The fact that he called for members of Congress to be arrested and dragged out in handcuffs shows just how fed up he is with the status quo.
