Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s presidential ambitions just got crushed.
The New York Congresswoman’s 2028 dreams are falling apart faster than Joe Biden’s approval ratings.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left in tears after a former Democrat Senate candidate destroyed her 2028 dreams on Fox News.
Former Ohio Democrat drops truth bomb about AOC’s Midwest problem
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been parading around the country on an “anti-oligarchy” tour with Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), holding rallies attacking President Donald Trump and White House senior advisor Elon Musk.
The tour has all the hallmarks of someone testing the waters for a 2028 Presidential run.
But former Democratic Senate candidate Morgan Harper of Ohio delivered a brutal reality check about AOC’s presidential dreams during an appearance on Fox News that left the Congresswoman’s supporters stunned.
Harper told host Harris Faulkner on The Faulkner Focus that Ocasio-Cortez’s fancy New York City liberal background would fall completely flat with regular folks in the Midwest.
“When we were talking about that, coming from the perspective from Ohio. They want to see people that are from there, that have a connection to the experience of what it is to be in a place that yes, has cities but also has a lot of rural areas,” Harper explained.
“AOC is coming from New York City. New York City is a very different place than the rest of the country,” Harper added.
The message couldn’t be more devastating – AOC’s big city liberalism has absolutely no appeal in America’s heartland.
Democrat elites still pushing AOC despite her Midwest problem
The Democrat establishment is desperate to make AOC their next big star despite the warning signs.
Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna of California has practically begged Ocasio-Cortez to challenge Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in the 2028 Democratic primary, according to NBC News.
A Data for Progress poll released on April 4 showed Ocasio-Cortez with a double-digit lead over Schumer in a hypothetical match-up, which has only inflated her ego even more.
AOC also topped the list in a CNN/SSRS poll released in March when Democratic voters were asked who best represented the party’s values – a terrifying thought for moderate Democrats.
In a hypothetical 2028 Democratic presidential primary poll by Data for Progress, Ocasio-Cortez tied for third place with Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), trailing only failed Vice President Kamala Harris and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
The “Squad” agenda makes normal Americans run for the hills
Harper’s brutal assessment of AOC’s appeal outside of liberal coastal bubbles is the wake-up call Democrats desperately need.
As the unofficial leader of the far-left “Squad” alongside Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ocasio-Cortez has pushed extreme policies like the Green New Deal, defunding the police, and government-run healthcare that make Middle America voters cringe.
During Harper’s failed 2022 Senate bid in Ohio, media sources compared her policies to those championed by “the Squad,” which might explain why Harper got crushed at the ballot box.
The cold, hard truth is that AOC’s brand of socialist fantasies that play well in her deep-blue Bronx and Queens district would send voters running for the exits in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin – the crucial states Democrats can’t win the White House without.
Harper didn’t completely slam the door on AOC’s political future, but her assessment left no doubt that the New York Congresswoman would be radioactive with voters in America’s heartland.
“Whether or not she decides to run for whatever office in the future, and higher office and I do agree the timelines are getting truncated here, so all things are possible and certainly on the table,” Harper said.
The message couldn’t be clearer – if Democrats want to lose in historic fashion in 2028, nominating AOC and her radical big city liberal agenda would be the perfect way to do it.
