The Left has tried to label Donald Trump and his movement as a threat to American democracy, even comparing him to dictators.
Much to their chagrin, the Trump-Vance campaign swept all seven swing states on election night, even winning the popular vote.

Throughout the 2024 election, Kamala Harris and Democrats attempted to make democracy their top issue, claiming, “Democracy was on the ballot.”
To their credit, democracy did weigh heavy on the minds of voters, but not in the way they expected.
Rather than blaming Trump for attacking American democracy, voters pinned the blame on the radical left, which has spit in the face of American democracy and American values over the years.
For example, many mainstream media outlets and political pundits have blamed the results of the 2016 election, and Donald Trump’s popularity in general, on the spread of so-called “misinformation.”
Doing so delegitimizes both Donald Trump’s political movement, as well as anybody who dares to oppose the radical left.
For years, the media warned that so-called “misinformation” would play a central role in the 2024 election, and even with Donald Trump decisively winning the election, many outlets have refused to drop this claim.
AP News for example published an article last week titled “The US election was largely trouble-free, but a flood of misinformation raises future concerns,” which makes all sorts of excuses for Donald Trump’s landmark victory.
In this piece, writers Christina A. Cassidy and David Klepper stated, “A relatively trouble-free presidential election was good news for those working to restore faith in the system.”
However, they backtracked on this claim, adding in their column, “Less encouraging was a flood of misinformation that sought to undermine trust in voting and sow chaos, something experts say is likely to get worse in the years ahead.”
Cassidy and Klepper blame a number of factors for Trump’s resounding victory, ranging from bomb threats to Russian interference.
More specifically, the duo stated, “Russia and other foreign adversaries was a constant theme running through election season.”
The refusal of some media pundits to accept that Donald Trump won fair and square highlights the hypocrisy that exists in the mainstream media, which has called Donald Trump a threat to democracy for years now.

Not only did Donald Trump win all seven swing states by significant margins, but he also shattered expectations after winning the popular vote.
This ought to put any claims that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy to rest, however many on the left refuse to give up.
On Election Day, voters rejected the narratives of the mainstream media, which has labeled Donald Trump and his movement in the most sinister ways imaginable.
