And it’s not just the obvious blunders like foreign policy and immigration.
Now Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are punching the accelerator on one disturbing “woke” policy.
The wokeification of science
One of the most disturbing trends of the past few years is the brain of the Democrat Party being taken over by radical leftists.
Democrats have long advocated for bad policies, but the fringe extremists believe in civilization-destroying ideas.
That’s why Elon Musk wrote on Twitter back in December 2022, “The woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters.”
Musk is correct.
There are other deeply important issues, but the “woke mind virus” robs people’s ability to reason.
Without that, it’s impossible to have a substantive debate about everything else.
For example, a purple-haired nonbinary “queer” activist is so far detached from being able to cogently discuss fiscal policy or foreign policy.
And the radical-left concepts have seeped into the mainstream of the Democrat Party.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has given $270 million in grants to implement critical social justice, a neo-Marxist idea, into the study of science.
The NSF detailed in a report, “The U.S. National Science Foundation is an independent federal agency that supports science and engineering in all 50 states and U.S. territories. NSF was established in 1950 by Congress to: [1] Promote the progress of science. [2] Advance the national health, prosperity and welfare. [3] Secure the national defense. We fulfill our mission chiefly by making grants. Our investments account for about 25% of federal support to America’s colleges and universities for basic research: research driven by curiosity and discovery. We also support solutions-oriented research with the potential to produce advancements for the American people.”
Funding our own destruction
In other words, the NSF is funding a lot of the “woke” insanity that is festering on college campuses.
For decades, people in STEM fields—whether liberal or conservative—believed that those disciplines were safe from the radicals who took over the social sciences.
They were wrong.
Now STEM has been infected by the “woke” mind virus.

Some on the Left now promote idiocy like equity math that does not focus on arriving at the correct answer.
Math courses may also incorporate “critical social justice” by attempting to raise a “critical consciousness” among the students.
For example, a math problem about how many apples Little Johnny can buy for $2 might turn into a lecture about food insecurity by the teacher.
This is just one way the STEM fields have been infiltrated.
In medicine, some schools have forced their med school graduates to swear to a new Hippocratic Oath that includes antiracism and other “woke” nonsense.
The radicals have been on the loose behind the scenes for a long time, but now they’re getting the full-throated support of Democrat elites.
Democrats need to lose elections until they abandon these ideas that kill meritocracy and make America more divided and less competitive in the world.
