In recent years for example, leftists have called on the federal government to restrict social media platforms, holding executives personally liable for the content on their platforms.
These calls were amplified following Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, now X, and his subsequent endorsement of Donald Trump for President.
Just last Saturday, Hillary Clinton appeared on CNN’s Smerconish with host Michael Smerconish, where she told viewers that if the Biden-Harris regime does not start limiting the rights of social media companies and its millions of users fast then “we could lose all control.”
She then pointed to a couple of Democrat-controlled states that have approved measures to regulate social media companies, telling Michael Smerconish, “We can look at the state of California, the state of New York, I think some other states have also taken action.”
“But we need national action, and sadly, our Congress has been dysfunctional when it comes to addressing these threats to our children,” the former Secretary of State added.
As Hillary Clinton noted, many Democrat-controlled states across the nation have taken disturbing steps to limit free speech under the guise of “misinformation prevention.”
But time and time again watchdog groups and whistleblowers have exposed these measures as nothing more than censorship ploys to silence Donald Trump, his millions of supporters, and anybody else who dares to defy the Left’s radical agenda.
This pursuit to attack social media companies has spread across the globe, with Western nations such as Australia, Brazil, and the United Kingdom all taking disturbing measures to prevent their citizens from speaking freely on top social media platforms like X.

As Hillary Clinton noted in her appearance on CNN last weekend, the Left’s quest to stop “misinformation” has absolutely nothing to do with stopping the spread of falsehoods.
In her own words, it has to do with holding onto power, stating, “We could lose all control” if they do not act immediately.
