Radical leftism has spread throughout society like cancer.
These political extremists have been allowed to spread their poisonous ideology for decades.
And a “woke” firefighter made one statement that will leave your jaw on the floor.
“Woke” LAFD under the microscope
Wildfires have been ravaging various communities in Los Angeles.
As a result of the devastating fires, people are beginning to ask questions about how this calamity could have happened.
For instance, Mayor Karen Bass, who was out of the country at the beginning of the crisis, tried to cut $17 million from the Los Angeles Fire Department’s operational budget and seemingly used it to fund DEI hires as the overall LAFD budget increased.
And various regulations have made firefighters more likely to be bigger and deadlier.
Another policy that has put the LAFD under intense scrutiny is its capitulation to the “woke” cult of diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
In an unearthed clip, LAFD Assistant Chief Kristine Larson was talking about the so-called importance of DEI in firefighting.
Larson said, “You want to see somebody that responds to your house, your emergency, whether it’s a medical call or a fire call, that looks like you. It gives that person a little bit more ease, knowing that somebody might understand their situation better.”
The overwhelming majority of people just want someone competent when an emergency situation happens.
Larson, who is black, doesn’t even realize that her logic breaks down immediately.
Only 9% of Los Angeles County is black, which means that she would largely be making Angelenos uneasy by her own ridiculous argument.
Larson also addressed concerns over female firefighters.
She said, “‘Is she strong enough to do this?’ or ‘you couldn’t carry my husband out of a fire.’ Which my response is: ‘he got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.’”
The scariest part of this woke nonsense is when she admits she’s not strong enough to carry a man out of a fire, but it’s really the man’s fault for being in that situation to begin with.

“Wokeness” can spread anywhere
Needless to say, that does not inspire confidence in people.
Larson reportedly makes $399,000 as the head of the Equity and Human Resources Bureau.
This is a sign of a decadent society.
However, actual crises like the current wildfires shine a light on the absurdity of “woke” DEI nonsense.
Larson also led the charge against former LAFD Chief Ralph Terrazas due to “rampant sexism, racism and abuse in the ranks that women and minorities routinely face.”
She criticized the LAFD by saying, “We (the LAFD) have a history of doing bad things to people who report abuses in this organization. … The deep-seated tradition of not ‘ratting’ people out — if that’s what you want to call it — keeps people in fear of not saying anything, and that’s the culture we have to change. If you’re being discriminated against, you should be able to make a complaint, have it validated and have that individual punished. That’s not what’s happening, because people are too afraid to say anything, and they suffer in silence for it.”
According to the video in which Larson appeared, only 5% of firefighters are women.
Instead of acknowledging that most women either do not want to be firefighters or do not fit the physical requirements, outsized emphasis is placed on making fire departments more “diverse.”
It turns out people just want fires extinguished, and they don’t care who does it.
