Tim Allen and Disney make for a very odd couple.

Allen is a conservative comic, while Disney is a far-left entertainment studio.

But the funnyman is now celebrating after The House of the Mouse finally relented on one of its most unpopular woke schemes.

“This town ain’t big enough for the two of us”

In 2022, Disney’s Pixar released a spin-off movie to its successful Toy Story franchise.

Lightyear was the origin story for one of Toy Story’s main characters, Buzz Lightyear.

All the way back in 1995, Tim Allen joined an all-star cast featuring the likes of Tom Hanks, Don Rickles, John Ratzenberger and many more.

Allen was cast as the voice of Buzz Lightyear – and the Home Improvement star made the role iconic.

He reprised the role for a sequel first in 1999, and put on the voice again for Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 in 2010 and 2019, respectively.

But despite what seems to be a positive relationship with the company – with Allen also starring in The Santa Clause franchise – Disney decided to go in a different direction for Lightyear

Disney wanted its spinoff to have a very different feel from the original – straying away from the classic to go in a more woke direction.

Along with the virtue signaling, Allen was shown the door, and in his place, the self-proclaimed “social justice warrior” Chris Evans – of Captain America fame – was inserted.

But with Disney’s far-left agenda costing the massive mega conglomerate billions of dollars, they’re once again turning to Pixar to work its family-values magic.

“To infinity and beyond”

Disney is going back to the remake and sequel well in hopes of turning out a profitable movie for a change.

And few franchises have delivered the big bucks for Disney than Toy Story

With that in mind, the studio has announced that 2026 will feature the next installment, Toy Story 5

And the fans now know that the movie will be returning to its original roots.

Tom Hanks will be back once again as Woody.

And The Mix Net is reporting that Tim Allen has been tapped to return to the Buzz Lightyear role that he made so famous.

“You got a play-date with destiny”

The 71-year-old comedic actor is excited to once again don the spacesuit.

Allen recently granted Collider an update on the progress of the fifth installment of the Toy Story saga.

“I just did the first five-hour session for Buzz, probably a week ago,” Allen admitted. “It’s really, really weird to get back in it.”

Allen continued, “I’m so blessed to be Buzz Lightyear, to be honest. It’s gonna be fun. I think we’re a year out. I’ve gotten up to the third act. We’ll do the third act. And then, we’ll go back and clean it. And then, I’ll do it about five more times.”

Allen also sang the praise of the story of Toy Story 5 during the interview – though he refused to give away any spoilers.

And he’s promising fans this movie is more than just a money grab.

“It’s a very, very clever story,” Allen teased. “I don’t really believe it’s about the money, when it comes to the motivation for another project. I’m sure they want it to be a success, but that’s not why they did it. Had they not come up with a brilliant script, they wouldn’t have done it and they wouldn’t have called me and Tom [Hanks]. It’s really clever.”

Only time will tell if Tim Allen delivers another out of this world performance that leads Toy Story 5 to “infinity and beyond,” or if the sequel is just the latest in a long line of recent Disney box office flops.
