Joe Biden was one of the worst Presidents in American history.

The Swamp is working to keep part of his agenda alive.

And RINO sellouts are plotting a betrayal against Donald Trump to protect one awful part of Biden’s legacy.

House RINOs try to save green energy tax credits

The grossly misnamed Inflation Reduction Act was a $1 trillion green energy slush fund signed into law by former President Joe Biden in 2022.

President Donald Trump vowed to repeal the bill dubbing it the “Green New Scam” on the campaign trail last.

House Republicans discussed clawing back the unspent money from the Inflation Reduction Act to help pay for an extension and expansion of Trump’s landmark 2017 tax cuts.

But a group of RINOs are scheming to save green energy tax credits from the bill with the ludicrous argument that they’ll help Trump’s plan to unleash American energy production.

21 House RINOs led by Representative Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) wrote a letter to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) asking him to keep hundreds of billions of dollars in green tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act.

The House and Ways Committee will be responsible for writing the tax cuts bill that will be passed through reconciliation this year.

“We have 20-plus members saying, ‘Don’t just think you can repeal these things and have our support,’” Garbarino told Politico. “We need the projects that are currently under development to be brought online so we can continue the President’s ‘America First’ agenda.”

Preserving green energy tax credits has nothing to do with Trump’s America First agenda.

These Swamp creatures are trying to hijack to defend preserving wasteful Biden spending.

“These [credits] are helping the president accomplish what he said he wanted to do in his campaign, and that was to make America an energy dominant country,” Garbarino claimed.

RINOs sang a different tune about green energy under Biden

Garbarino and the other letter signers who were in Congress when the Inflation Reduction Act passed voted against it.

“I voted AGAINST the deceptively named ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ just like I voted against the reckless Build Back Better scheme,” Garbarino wrote in a 2022 press release. “We can’t tax and spend our way out of the economic crisis that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi created. Shame on Congressional Democrats for forcing through this irresponsible legislation to score a political win at the expense of American taxpayers.”

A full repeal of the green energy tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act would save nearly $800 billion over a decade.

“Full repeal right now of energy tax credits would be a disaster for what companies have paid for, for what we’ve already invested in with taxpayer dollars,” Garbarino said. “Even starting to phase them out would end up making a project moot.”

The Inflation Reduction Act targeted Republican House districts for solar, wind, and electric vehicle projects to make it harder to repeal the bill once Democrats lost power.

Garbarino and his pack of RINOs want to preserve one of the worst legacies of Joe Biden.
