Democrats rely on celebrity endorsements each election cycle.
Entertainers with more right-leaning views often have to keep quiet about their politics.
And pop star Taylor Swift was gobsmacked when she saw one trend on social media.
Inconvenient fans
Pop sensation Taylor Swift has become an international superstar.
Her Eras tour was a raging success.
Before Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 Presidential race, Democrats were hoping that Swift would use her platform to give Biden a boost against Donald Trump.
With Biden having been kicked aside, Democrats are now hoping Swift will enthusiastically endorse Kamala Harris.
Even if Swift does endorse Harris, it might not have the effect that some on the Left hope.
A surprising movement began trending on social media: “Swifties for Trump.”
It’s no secret that Swift is a Democrat.
In 2018, she endorsed former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen in his Senate race against Marsha Blackburn.
Blackburn ended up winning handily.
While Swift might have tons of fans that lean Left, she also has fans on the other side of the aisle.

Media outraged
The trend disturbed the media so much that they wrote multiple stories “debunking” it.
The press pointed to AI-generated images of “Swifties for Trump” in an attempt to suggest that the overall trend was fake.
CBS News reported that “Donald Trump shared AI-generated images of women wearing ‘Swifties for Trump’ t-shirts to his Truth Social account on Sunday, including a satirical post that claimed Taylor Swift fans were turning to Trump after security concerns forced the cancellation of her Vienna concerts earlier this month. Trump captioned the post ‘I accept!’ and shared screenshots of four X posts that show women wearing ‘Swifties for Trump’ t-shirts, as well as a fabricated image of Taylor Swift that reads, ‘Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.’”
The media downplayed the fact that there are actually “Swifties” who support Trump.
Jenna Piwowarczyk, who wore a “Swifties for Trump” T-shirt, said in a video, “It’s no secret that millions of young female voters consider themselves Swifties and we don’t want them to have to choose between loving Taylor Swift and supporting their conservative ideologies at the ballot box in November.”
That should not be a controversial statement, but the Democrat Media Complex wants support for Republicans, especially Trump, to be considered toxic.
That media double standard has been in place for a long time, but only got worse when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
While the media were angered by Trump’s post on Truth Social, MSNBC got caught literally editing a clip to make it seem as though popular podcaster Joe Rogan was praising Kamala Harris when he was actually talking about former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.
Needless to say, the entire corporate-controlled media did not write articles attacking MSNBC for spreading “misinformation.”
That only cuts in one direction.
Conservative “Swifties” are allowed to enjoy Taylor Swift’s music even if she is a raging leftist.
People with differing views sharing public spaces like concerts was not considered controversial in the past.
