New York’s attorney general just launched a program designed to give Kamala Harris a well-timed boost
In August, Unmuzzled News reported that New York attorney general Letitia James sent a letter to top technology companies urging them to suppress so-called “misinformation.”
In her letter to X, Meta, and Google, among others, James stated, “While misinformation has been a concern in past elections, with the rise of gen AI, barriers that prevent bad actors from creating deceptive or misleading content have weakened dramatically.”
“As tens of millions of voters in the U.S. seek basic information about voting in this major election year, X has the responsibility to ensure all voters using your platform have access to guidance that reflects true and accurate information about their constitutional right to vote,” the New York Democrat added.
Last Thursday, James advanced this crusade to stop so-called “misinformation,” releasing a guide designed to help citizens tattle on one another for posting or spreading “misinformation.”
On the New York attorney general’s official website, the office released a statement on the matter, telling New Yorkers, “New York Attorney General Letitia James today released a guide, called “Protecting New Yorkers from AI-Generated Election Misinformation,” to help identify and report misinformation generated by artificial intelligence (AI) about the upcoming November elections.”
“The guide released today by Attorney General James offers New Yorkers tips on how to spot fake content, report it, and seek accurate information about the elections,” the dystopian post added.
This guide, which Letitia James released two months before Election Day, is carefully crafted to give the New York state government immense power in determining what is true and what is not.
Last week’s post went on to provide a list of action James hopes New Yorkers will take, including “If you come across information about elections or voting from unofficial sources, verify it with official sources and encourage others to do the same.”
In a nutshell, Letitia James wants New Yorkers to turn to her and her radical far-left political allies for election information.

Many New Yorkers have become suspicious of James and her allegedly nonpartisan voting projects, given that she has spent significant resources on suing Donald Trump, with the aim of throwing him in jail.
Given James’ disdain for Donald Trump and his millions of supporters, many suspect this “misinformation” identification and prevention guide to be nothing more than the Left’s latest attempt to censor their political rivals.
And, with Election Day just two months away, this plan and others like it could make a very real difference in competitive races.
