Kash Patel has hit the ground running as the new FBI director.
He’s already sending shockwaves through the Washington, D.C., Swamp.
And Kash Patel opened one FBI probe into fraud that sent Democrats into a state of panic.
Joe Biden used the EPA as a slush fund for his political allies
Former President Joe Biden signed the grossly misnamed $1 trillion Inflation Reduction Act into law in 2022.
The legislation was the biggest green energy bill in human history.
$20 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act was used to create the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund run by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Biden’s EPA used the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to funnel taxpayer money to environmental activist groups run by Democrat donors and insiders.
One grant from the fund went to a group linked to two-time failed Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Another grant was given to the Young, Gifted & Green run by LaTricea Adams while she was serving on Biden’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council at the EPA.
The EPA had a slush fund to dole out money to Democrat allies funded by the Inflation Reduction Act.
FBI opens an investigation into the EPA’s green energy slush fund
New EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin sounded the alarm on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund shortly after taking over the agency.
FBI Director Kash Patel has agents interviewing employees at the EPA about the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund as one of the first investigations since he was confirmed.
Zeldin is trying to claw back as much unspent taxpayer money from the fund as possible.
An undercover video from Project Veritas recorded a Biden EPA employee talking about the rush to shovel money out the door before the Trump administration took over.
“Now it’s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in,” former EPA Special Advisor for Implementation Brent Efron said at the time. “It’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge.”
Biden’s EPA deposited the $20 billion in a Citibank account for the environmental activist groups to withdraw from.
“When we learned about the Biden administration’s scheme to quickly park $20 billion outside the agency, we suspected that some organizations were created out of thin air just to take advantage of this,” an EPA spokesman said. “As we continue to learn more about where some of this money went, it is even more apparent how far-reaching and widely accepted this waste and abuse has been.”
The bank account is frozen and the environmental activist groups can no longer draw money from it.
Acting EPA Inspector General Nicole Murley testified before Congress that her office has begun to investigate the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
Murley was worried that the Biden EPA’s race to distribute money as fast as possible meant that safeguards and oversight were bypassed in the name of getting funding out the door.
The Biden administration was hoping to create a slush fund as a private bank for its allies that they hoped would go unnoticed by Trump officials.
