Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett and Trump Border Czar Tom Homan have been at each other’s throats.
But Crockett just made a huge misstep that will cost her.
And Jasmine Crockett just handed Tom Homan one disturbing confession that could come back to haunt her.
Crockett makes absurd argument for illegal immigration
Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is attempting to raise her profile inside the Democrat Party.
Her plan seems to be to follow in the footsteps of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and just say the dumbest things imaginable every time a microphone is in her face.
Crockett put her foot in her mouth again when she spoke about illegal immigration at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.
In the video, Crockett argued that the country needs illegal immigration because illegal aliens do the jobs that Americans won’t do without drawing any government benefits.
Crockett asked the crowd, “How many of you are sending your kids to college?”
She then asked another rhetorical question: “How many of you are sending your kids to college to go and work on the farms?”
Crockett continued, “Okay, so guess who is working the farms so that you can afford your food so that you can have food?”
She added, “Now, how many of you are looking to send your kids into hospitality after this college education so that they can go and make the beds at the hotels?”
Crockett didn’t stop there.
She also stated, “How many of you are planning to send your kids to college — because that’s what we do, we send everybody to college — how many of you are planning to send your kids to college so that they can then go and build these houses?”
Sending too many kids to college is a separate issue.
There are too many graduates with degrees and not enough jobs that require them.
Meanwhile, there are millions of good-paying blue-collar jobs available.
Crockett declared, “So the reality is, as long as we live in a capitalistic society, there’s always going to be someone, or a group of people, that will do work that some of the rest of y’all don’t want to do.”
Perhaps she wants a communist society where the government tells the people what to do.
Crockett concluded, “These are the people who are really making us great in this country. They pay into taxes. And guess what? They’re not able to pull down on Social Security. So to have people going out disparaging them and targeting them, that is not what makes us great.”

Why Crockett is wrong
So much is wrong with Crockett’s perspective.
First of all, Kelly Osbourne got “canceled” for making the same ignorant argument.
Second, the H-2A visa program allows for seasonal guest workers, so there’s no need to flood the country with millions of unvetted illegal aliens.
Third, illegal alien labor takes jobs away from American citizens, i.e. construction.
Illegal alien labor also puts downward pressure on American wages.
Democrats claim that they want American wages to go up, yet they undercut those wages with illegal aliens.
Finally, illegal aliens do indeed receive taxpayer benefits.
In addition to public facilities like schools and hospitals, illegal aliens are eligible for benefits if they have a child born in the United States.
There’s also the problem of fraud via fake social security cards, which can be used for benefits.
And when immigrants come into the country in unsustainable numbers, they do not properly assimilate to American culture.
The dirty little secret is that the establishment of both parties likes illegal immigration because it supplies them with cheaper goods and services, but they can insulate themselves from the ramifications of it.
