The Secret Service has been trying to avoid the headlines after Donald Trump’s shooting.

Now, they’re coming back into the spotlight.

And James Comer hit Kamala Harris and the Secret Service with the bad news they’ve been fearing.

James Comer investigates the censorship of Donald Trump’s assassination attempt

The near assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, is one of the defining events of the 2024 Election.

Trump’s shooting in any other year would have dominated the headlines for months after a President was shot for the first time since Ronald Reagan in 1981.

But the story was quickly brushed aside by the media when President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris was selected to replace him.

The Secret Service committed dozens of errors that allowed a gunman to get a clean shot from the top of a building at Trump.

One of the ways this story has been buried is with the help of Big Tech.

Facebook and Meta have censored information about Trump’s shooting.

That’s why House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) is demanding information from the companies about the censorship of the Trump assassination attempt.

Google Search’s autocomplete didn’t bring up results for the Trump shooting.

And Meta’s AI chatbot claimed that it was a fictional event or that it never happened.

Comer is trying to find out how Google’s Search and Meta’s AI work to help understand how the censorship happened.

“Americans rely upon prominent internet search engines such as Google to gather news and information critical to their understanding of national politics and events—and never more so than during a Presidential election season,” Comer wrote to Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Comer said that the committee wanted to learn how information on the search gets suppressed and if it’s the result of an error or deception.

Kamala Harris doesn’t want to see bad headlines

Comer asked if pressure from the Biden-Harris administration played a role in the censorship in his letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

“The Committee has long been concerned with how large technology companies leverage their businesses to influence public opinion—especially the design and use of content moderation policies within private sector social media companies—and how company policies are shaped and influenced by Executive Branch officials,” Comer wrote.

Meta told Newsmax that the censorship was the result of an innocent error.

“Rather than have Meta AI give incorrect information about the attempted assassination, we programmed it to simply not answer questions about it after it happened – and instead give a generic response about how it couldn’t provide any information,” Meta said in a statement.

Kamala Harris and her allies want to bury the story about the Trump assassination attempt.

No one believes that Biden is in charge anymore so she is effectively the incumbent in the race.

Headlines about the Secret Service’s staggering incompetence make the Biden-Harris administration look incompetent and build sympathy for Trump.

Kamala wants the media to focus their attention on promoting her with puff pieces and keeping Trump out of the headlines except for negative attention.

The sooner the Trump shooting goes away the better for her campaign.
