Fox News star Kat Timpf has been absent from television for months.
Her fans have been desperate for news about her condition.
And Fox News’ Kat Timpf left Greg Gutfeld in shock with this update about her cancer battle.
Timpf confirms return to television after birth and cancer diagnosis
Fox News personality Kat Timpf has been absent from television since February after revealing a truly extraordinary set of circumstances that upended her life.
In what she called “An Unconventional Birth Announcement,” Timpf shared the harrowing timeline of events that changed everything.
“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Timpf wrote on February 25.
The 36-year-old host explained that doctors caught the cancer early, describing it as “Stage 0” and reassuring fans that it “almost certainly hasn’t spread.”
With her trademark dark humor, Timpf told followers: “Don’t freak out. It’s just, like, a LITTLE bit of cancer.”
The timing couldn’t have been more surreal. Within a 24-hour period, Timpf went from being told she would likely need a double mastectomy to giving birth to her first child, a baby boy.
“I sat and listened as they told me that the best course of action would likely be a double mastectomy as soon as possible,” Timpf wrote. “Finally, by the middle of the night, I was crawling around on the floor of my apartment in spontaneous labor, before heading to the hospital to meet my baby, whom I’d learn at the time of birth was a son.”
Timpf reunites with Gutfeld for new reality competition series
Now, after months away, Timpf has confirmed she’ll be back on screens starting May 12 – but not in her usual role on Gutfeld!
Instead, she’s reuniting with her longtime colleague Greg Gutfeld for a new Fox Nation reality competition show called What Did I Miss?
The concept is unlike anything Fox has done before. Four contestants were completely isolated from the outside world from January 20 to April 13 – with no phones, internet, television, or social media during the first 90 days of the Trump administration.
Now they’ll compete against each other to separate real headlines from fake ones, with a whopping $50,000 prize on the line. The contestants will face this challenge in front of a live audience.
Timpf confirmed her participation on the panel alongside comedian Jamie Lissow in a post on X: “V excited for this I’m on the panel w my weird little friend @jamie_lissow.”
Fox Nation President Lauren Petterson explained the concept: “Truth can be stranger than fiction and who better to help isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during an unprecedented news cycle than Greg Gutfeld.”
The three-episode event will stream exclusively on Fox Nation on May 12, 13, and 14.
Timpf’s fans rally in support
After Timpf confirmed her television return, fans flooded social media with messages of support and excitement.
“Can’t wait to see your smiling face! We’ve missed you so much,” one follower wrote.
Another commented: “Hope things are going well with your treatment and recovery. Also, can’t wait to hear all about your sweet baby boy. I bet he’s the cutest ever!”
Despite the outpouring of love, Timpf has also had to deal with disturbing fake news about herself while focusing on her health and new baby.
Last week, she was forced to address death rumors and fake photos circulating online.
“Guys, there are lots of fake accounts posting stuff about me on Facebook which is not accurate, including this one that says I died,” Timpf tweeted.
She added: “I haven’t shared any photos of my son online. Any photos you see are fake.”
Through it all, Timpf has maintained her sense of humor while navigating what she calls “new motherhood (and new cancer).”
As she wrote in February: “Thank you all for your support, laughter, and love as I embrace this wildly unexpected chapter. Here’s to resilience, to miracles in the midst of chaos, and to finding humor and hope even on the toughest days.”
While she’ll return for the Fox Nation special, Timpf has not yet announced when she’ll be back on Gutfeld! full-time.
