Fani Willis’ Georgia case against Donald Trump is up in the air.

She might even find herself removed from the case.

But Willis just got caught up in a legal drama she did not see coming.

Fani Willis’ daughter arrested

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was counted on by #Resistance Democrats to prosecute Donald Trump and throw him behind bars for attempting to “steal” the 2020 election.

But things did not go according to plan.

An ethics complaint was filed against Willis for her affair with prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she paid to work on her legal time while the two were carrying on a sexual relationship.

That matter is still being adjudicated.

Willis’ case is also in limbo because of the Supreme Court’s ruling regarding Presidential immunity.

Now Willis is in an entirely different legal drama that took her by surprise.

Kinaya Willis, Fani’s 25-year-old daughter, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being pulled over for using her cell phone while driving.

Both Fani Willis and Nathan Wade showed up to the scene even though they supposedly had already ended their relationship.

The New York Post reported that “District Attorney Fani Willis showed up to the scene of her daughter’s recent arrest with prosecutor lover Nathan Wade, long after the pair said they’d ended their controversial affair, newly released bodycam footage shows. The Fulton County, Georgia DA was seen with ex-Trump prosecutor Wade after her pregnant daughter Kinaya Willis, 25, was pulled over late last month for driving while using a cell phone, and then arrested for driving on a suspended license. . .The cops asked if Willis, 52, and Wade, 51, were Kinaya’s parents — but the powerful DA told them her high-profile lover was ‘just a friend.’”

Kinaya Willis seemingly attempted to name-drop her mother in an attempt to get out of the situation.

The Post added that “Kinaya told the cops the reason she was using her phone while behind the wheel was because her mom was calling her about her pregnancy.”

More questions about Willis and Wade’s relationship

Bodycam footage of Willis and Wade arriving at the scene together in the same car could be a big problem for the two of them.

They both might have committed perjury by lying under oath about the timeline of their affair.

It does not seem like their relationship ever ended.

Willis’ case against Trump hinged on communications between him and his Department of Justice, however those communications could fall under “official acts,” which the Supreme Court ruled was within Presidential immunity.

A lower court will decide if those communications were considered official acts.

If so, Willis’ case is dead in the water.

Atlanta defense attorney Andrew Fleischman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “I think this does hurt the Georgia case quite a lot. . .There’s not much clear guidance at all. I think Georgia courts will likely also have to apply this novel analysis, and that creates a lot of opportunity for delay.”

The hits just keep on coming for Willis.
