Donald Trump’s second administration is not wasting a solitary second.

He is moving swiftly to deliver on his campaign promises.

And Trump made one huge announcement that will save American lives.

Trump wants out of Syria

Donald Trump became the first U.S. President in decades to leave office without starting any new wars.

During his first term in office, he attempted to withdraw troops from various conflict zones, but he was stymied by his own government.

But now that he’s back in office, Trump has a better idea of who he can trust in terms of foreign policy.

And Trump wants to pull American troops out of Syria once and for all.

NBC News reported that the “Defense Department is developing plans to withdraw all U.S. troops from Syria, two U.S. defense officials told NBC News on Tuesday. President Donald Trump and officials close to him recently expressed interest in pulling U.S. troops out of Syria, the officials said, leading Pentagon officials to begin drawing up plans for a full withdrawal in 30, 60 or 90 days. Trump’s new national security adviser, Mike Waltz, spent Friday at the headquarters of U.S. Central Command in Tampa, Florida, meeting with senior U.S. military leaders and getting briefings on the Middle East, according to U.S. defense officials.”

Fruitless conflict

Former President Barack Obama got the United States involved in Syria, and it has been nothing but a quagmire.

For example, at one point, the United States was funding al-Qaeda rebel groups—our sworn enemy from 9/11—attempting to overthrow recently deposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Those rebel groups took the money and munitions and launched ISIS.

When Trump came into office in 2017, he crippled ISIS by simply cutting off the funding to rebel groups.

Assad, a secular dictator, was finally forced out of the country, but he was replaced by a group aligned with al-Qaeda.

U.S. involvement in Syria has been a complete mess.

Trump recently stated, “We’re not getting—we’re not involved in Syria. . .Syria is its own mess. They got enough messes over there. They don’t need us involved in every one.”

NBC News added, “In late 2019, Trump ordered Defense Secretary James Mattis to withdraw all U.S. troops from Syria. Mattis pushed back against the plan and ultimately resigned in protest. Trump withdrew most U.S. troops but subsequently moved them back. The U.S. presence in Syria has continued since then. In December, the Pentagon announced that roughly 2,000 troops were deployed to Syria, more than double the number the military had said for years, about 900.”

Worse yet, former Syria envoy James Jeffrey bragged about lying to Trump about troop deployment numbers in the country.

After the 2020 election, Jeffrey said in the press, “We were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how many troops we had there.”

Jeffrey said that there were “a lot more than” the 200 troops Trump agreed to leave behind in 2019.

These are the types of Deep State operatives Trump has been wrestling with for eight years.
