Biden’s EPA funneled money to the Chicago Teachers Union
The scandal involving the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under former President Joe Biden continues to expand.
Biden turned the EPA into a slush fund to dole out money to Democrat donors and political allies.
The Biden EPA used the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund created by 2022’s Inflation Reduction Act to funnel more than $20 billion to environmental activist groups headed by Democrats, including some who worked in his administration.
Now, another payoff to one of his political allies during the final days of his administration was exposed.
Biden’s EPA gave $100,000 to a nonprofit controlled by the Chicago Teachers Union less than two weeks before President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
The Children & Teachers Foundation of the Chicago Teachers Union received a $100,000 grant from the EPA to put on an “Environmental Justice Freedom School.”
Students will spend two weeks learning how to become environmental activists on the taxpayers’ dime.
The Biden administration used federal funding to train the next generation of left-wing activists in Chicago.
Chicago has one of the worst government school systems in the country and its teachers union falsely claims the schools are underfunded.
Instead of using the money to promote learning, Chicago Public School students are getting a boot camp in left-wing political activism similar to the community organizing that former President Barack Obama started his political career with.
Chicago Teachers Union is an arm of the Democrat Party
The Chicago Teachers Union is a Democrat political operation masquerading as a group representing educators.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, a former organizer for the union, was the beneficiary of $2 million from the Chicago Teachers Union backing his 2023 mayoral campaign.
The union has spent millions of dollars backing Democrats in Chicago and across Illinois, with dues ripped from the paychecks of the teachers it claims to represent.
The Chicago Teachers Union fought to keep schools closed as long as possible during the pandemic and argued that students returning to the classroom was “rooted in sexism, racism and misogyny.”
The union’s foundation will hold its two-week Environmental Justice Freedom School with the help of “leading environmental advocacy groups.”
“Students will become climate change champions for their school community and local environment through EJ teach-ins inspired by their climate action plans,” the Environmental Justice Freedom School website explained. “Students will develop social and emotional intelligence and skills to process feelings about climate change and reflecting, collaborating, negotiating, and organizing toward climate action.”
Trump’s EPA has been trying to claw back money that Biden used from the agency to line the pockets of his political allies.
“President Trump was elected with a mandate from the American people to stop the fraud and abuse by leaders who irresponsibly shoveled boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity, instead of serving the American people,” EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said.
Joe Biden’s handlers made sure that Democrats and their political allies were taken care of with taxpayer money.
