And CNN was utterly humiliated after this fact check against Donald Trump backfired in the worst way.
Donald Trump calls out spending taxpayer money on transgender mice
President Donald Trump delivered his joint address to Congress where he highlighted some of the most appalling waste by the federal government.
He listed some of the worst findings from the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) audits.
“Eight million dollars for making mice transgender,” Trump said to laughter. “This is real.”
The media had a meltdown over the comment and fired up their “fact checkers” to discredit this disturbing revelation.
CNN health reporter Deidre McPhillips disputed Trump’s claim by arguing that the National Institutes of Health only spent $477,121 on “feminizing hormone therapy” to discover if it made them more susceptible to HIV.
“Trump falsely claimed that the Department of Government Efficiency identified government spending of ‘$8 million for making mice transgender,’” CNN’s “fact check” stated.
McPhillips thought she had gotten the upper hand against Trump.
But the White House fired back with their own fact check that proved that Trump was right.
“Last night, President Donald J. Trump highlighted many of the egregious examples of waste, fraud and abuse funded by the American taxpayers, including $8 million spent by the Biden Administration ‘for making mice transgender,’” a White House statement reads. “The Fake News losers at CNN immediately tried to fact check it, but President Trump was right (as usual).”
Joe Biden was funding experiments to make animals transgender
The White House released a list of six experiments funded by the National Institutes of Health under former President Joe Biden that involved pumping mice full of hormones from the opposite sex that cost $8,290,053.
Democrats and their media allies are desperate to downplay the wasteful and bizarre spending under the Biden administration.
CNN was forced to update its fact check page for Trump’s joint address to Congress after the White House released the truth.
“An earlier version of this item incorrectly characterized as false Trump’s claim about federal money being spent for ‘making mice transgender.’ The article has been updated with context about the spending, which was for research studies on the potential human health impacts of treatments used in gender-affirming care,” CNN claimed.
McPhillips tried to claim that pumping mice full of opposite sex hormones wasn’t about trying to change their gender but important research for transgender humans who were pumped full of opposite sex hormones.
“The White House list made clear what Trump, in the speech, did not: The studies were meant to figure out how these treatments might affect the health of humans who take them, not for the purpose of making mice transgender,” McPhillips claimed.
CNN wanted to split hairs to avoid walking away completely humiliated.
DOGE has canceled transgender experiments on animals as part of its fight against waste, fraud, and abuse.
The media fears a bright light being shone on the government’s role in promoting transgenderism.
