Leftists have become little more than reactionaries against Donald Trump in many Americans’ minds.
Having their worldviews based almost entirely around Orange Man Bad is destined to end horribly.
And Bill Maher leveled Democrats for this crazed protest against Donald Trump.
Maher mocks far-left protest against capitalism
Democrats have not been able to formulate a coherent message to counter Donald Trump’s agenda.
Instead, they have chosen to screech at the top of their lungs in opposition to anything Trump does, even if his positions are popular.
And Real Time host Bill Maher could not help but call out the Left for their goofy protest against Trump.
The plan was to boycott spending money for a whole day in order to strike at the heart of corporate America.
Maher’s guests, CNN host Fareed Zakaria and former Chicago Mayor Rahmn Emanuel, concurred that the protest was pointless.
Maher said, “This is something called the People’s Union USA. And they have something called — today I got emails about this from people — No Spend Day. And it’s against the malign influence of billionaires, big corporations and both major political parties on the lives of working Americans. . .And what it is, is you refrain from making any purchases, either in stores or online, to shun fast food, getting gas — for a full day! I know! That look on your face says it all! You’re right, it’s so f***ing stupid!”
Focusing on things that don’t matter to voters
The Left decided that virtue-signaling instead of problem-solving was their path to electoral victory.
Zakaria explained, “This is why I was saying that there really is a movement of people doing interpretive dances to protest the Trump administration’s cuts of USAID. . .I mean, like, people are starving. You know, the thing about not winning, as you said, is you’re left with these kind of absurdities. The answer is figure out how to win elections.”
He also chastised the Democrats for turning away from Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, even though they’re the only two Democrats since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win two elections.
Both Clinton and Obama ran as moderates, even though they did not always behave as such in office, particularly Obama.
But the Democrats don’t even pretend to be moderate anymore.
Zakaria noted, “Bernie Sanders didn’t win, AOC hasn’t been president recently.”
Emmanuel added, “Breaking news, 100,000 new community police officers, or defund the police? Now which one do you think is going to work?”
The former Chicago Mayor also said, “What’s really crazy about where the party’s gone, it’s taken in identity politics, that the only way you have moral standing is if you’ve somehow been hurt. . .And that is insane.”
The Democrats would have nothing without identity politics.
If people don’t vote based on identity, they might vote on issues such as economics, and the Democrats are weak there.
They rely on fear-mongering about identity issues to get voters to the polls.
Even Bill Maher’s panel is mocking the ‘resistance’ to Trump’s 2nd term:

Democrats are showing why Trump won all seven battleground states as well as the popular vote.
