Never-Trump ex-Representative Adam Kinzinger spent his final years in Congress dedicated to keeping Donald Trump out of the White House.

Not only did he fail, but he also lost his own seat – bowing out rather than facing the wrath of voters.

But now Kinzinger just attached himself to Gavin Newsom in this desperate attempt to stay relevant.

Gavin Newsom takes politicking to the next level

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom is termed out of office at the end of 2026.

You might think this is a good thing for Californians, but chances are they will elect someone just as bad or even worse.

But the 57-year-old Governor of the Golden State isn’t likely to exit from the political scene at the end of his term.

Political pundits speculate that Newsom has his sights set on the Oval Office.

But how will he stay in the public eye between the end of his time in Sacramento, and the launch of his White House campaign?

With his own podcast, of course.

Newsom launched his new podcast, Politickin’ with Gavin Newsom, earlier this month.

His debut guest was conservative activist and Turning Points USA founder Charlie Kirk – and the episode sparked the question of whether the show will do more harm than good for Newsom’s political future.

The general consensus is that Kirk dominated the debate.

But Newsom isn’t throwing in the towel just yet.

Adam Kinzinger rages over free speech

Politickin’s second guest was non-other than one of the architects of the America First platform, Steve Bannon.

Much like in his debate with Kirk, Newsom attempted to come off as a likable moderate in his conversation with Bannon.

However, one RINO didn’t like Newsom’s decision to even offer Bannon the platform.

Never-Trump ex-Congressman Adam Kinzinger (RINO-IL) isn’t happy with how Politickin is going so far.

He released a social media video criticizing Newsom for talking to Kirk, who he described as “one of the bad guys” – an interesting take from a man who claims to be a Republican.

But Kinzinger was much more upset about Bannon’s appearance on the program.

“I woke up this morning and fully expected the outrage of the day to be something that Trump did . . .” Kinzinger began. “And then I see this. I see that Gavin Newsom has decided to invite Steve Bannon on his podcast, and they’re going to have just a wonderful conversation.”

There you see Kinzinger demonizing having conversations with people who hold different opinions.

But Kinzinger explained why he believes no one should ever speak with Bannon.

“Bannon is the author of this chaos we’re seeing right now,” Kinzinger continued. “Bannon is the one that says, ‘you need to flood the zone with sh**. Bannon is the one that has basically authored where we are and what Donald Trump wants.”

You’ll notice there that Kinzinger ran out of material rather quickly for his rant and got quite repetitive.

So, he turned his attention to Newsom.

“Because Gavin Newsom wants to run for President and thinks he’s going to be this healer, he brings on this nationalist,” Kinzinger fumed. “Many of us on the Right sacrificed our careers taking these people on. And Newsom is trying to make a career with them. This is insane.”

Perhaps the biggest problem with that statement is Kinzinger professing to be “on the Right.”

Typically, people on the right value the First Amendment and the free exchange of ideas.

Kinzinger appears to want Bannon canceled and silenced, which isn’t surprising since Kinzinger has never really been “on the Right.”

There is one thing Kinzinger did get correct in his temper tantrum, however – he and fellow RINO ex-Congresswoman Liz Cheney did indeed sacrifice their careers to stop Trump’s conservative populism.

And while Kinzinger and Cheney are out of Congress now, Trump is now the two-time President of the United States.
