CIA officials were linked to a shocking JFK assassination cover-up that left lawmakers speechless.

Lauren Boebert may have overshadowed everything.

And a bombshell JFK hearing witness’ revelation left Congress stunned but it is Lauren Boebert who stole the show.

CIA agents “complicit” in Kennedy assassination

The Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets held its first hearing Tuesday to examine JFK assassination files, with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) leading the investigation. What should have been Congresswoman Boebert’s moment to shine quickly turned into an embarrassing spectacle that overshadowed shocking revelations about government misconduct.

During the hearing, Jefferson Morley, a former Washington Post reporter and JFK assassination researcher, delivered stunning testimony claiming three CIA agents were “complicit” in President Kennedy’s murder.

“We know now that Richard Helms, James Angleton and George Joannides were responsible for or complicit in the death of the President, either by criminal negligence or covert action,” Morley testified before shocked lawmakers.

Morley presented evidence that these CIA officials repeatedly lied to Congress during earlier investigations into Kennedy’s assassination – a federal crime that points to a deliberate cover-up.

The testimony revealed that James Angleton, the CIA’s longtime counterintelligence chief, had a file containing information on Lee Harvey Oswald on his desk just one week before Kennedy’s murder.

Boebert’s Stone-cold embarrassing mistake

But instead of focusing on these explosive revelations, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert created an awkward distraction when she confused acclaimed filmmaker Oliver Stone with Roger Stone, the controversial political operative and Trump ally.

When questioning the Oscar-winning director, Boebert asked: “Mr. Stone, you wrote a book accusing [Lyndon Johnson] of being involved in the killing of President Kennedy, did these most recent releases confirm or negate your initial charge?”

Stone appeared visibly confused, whispering to someone next to him as Boebert continued trying to jog his memory.

It was Roger Stone, not Oliver Stone, who wrote the 2013 book “The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ” in which Roger Stone – a former Trump advisor – claimed that Johnson orchestrated Kennedy’s assassination.

The mistake became painfully obvious in a big hurry.

“I think you’re confusing Mr. Oliver Stone with Mr. Roger Stone. It’s Roger Stone who implicated LBJ, it’s not my friend, Oliver Stone,” Morley said, interrupting to correct the mistake.

As the correction was being made, Oliver Stone could be seen turning away and chuckling at the embarrassing mix-up.

Boebert tried brushing off the mistake.

“I may have misinterpreted that and I apologize,” she admitted.

Declassified documents reveal CIA deception

Despite the awkward exchange, the substance of the hearing revealed disturbing patterns of government deception that have been hidden for decades.

Morley’s testimony claimed that newly declassified documents prove CIA officials Helms, Angleton, and Joannides all gave false testimony to Congress during the 1978 investigation.

“One false statement might be incompetence. A second false statement might be ‘CYA’ (cover your a**) for the first false statement, but three false statements by top CIA officers about Kennedy’s accused killer. That is a pattern. It’s a pattern of misconduct. It’s a pattern of malfeasance,” Morley told the committee.

The most damning revelation involved George Joannides, who ran a CIA program communicating with Cuban operatives regarding operations involving Fidel Castro.

According to Morley, agents working under this program had contact with Lee Harvey Oswald before Kennedy’s assassination – information that was deliberately concealed from Congress.

When previously questioned by lawmakers in 1978, Joannides claimed he didn’t know who oversaw the program involving the Cubans – despite being the very person in charge of the operation.

Morley clarified that he wasn’t claiming CIA officers directly killed Kennedy, but rather that “they were engaged in covert activities related to Lee Harvey Oswald that have never been disclosed.”

Republicans demand answers while Democrats dismiss concerns

Republican lawmakers expressed shock at the revelations presented during the hearing.

“Three top CIA officials lied to JFK assassination investigators,” Congressman Eric Burleson (R-MO) said afterward in a statement, calling it “one of the most significant revelations to come out of this.”

Tennessee Republican Representative Tim Burchett was equally disturbed.

“This thing was a cover-up from the start,” Rep. Burchett declared.

Meanwhile, Democrats seemed unmoved by the testimony, with Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) dismissing the hearing as merely “platforming conspiracy theories” and claiming “The JFK Files are now public and show no evidence of a CIA conspiracy.”

Oliver Stone, whose 1991 film “JFK” brought national attention to questions surrounding Kennedy’s assassination, called for a complete reinvestigation.

“I ask the committee to reopen what the Warren Commission failed miserably to complete,” Stone urged. “I ask you in good faith, outside all political considerations, to reinvestigate the assassination of President Kennedy from the scene of the crime to the courtroom.”

These revelations arrive at a critical moment when Americans’ trust in government institutions continues to decline. The pattern of deception outlined by Morley suggests the truth about Kennedy’s assassination may have been deliberately buried for decades by those sworn to protect American democracy.

Whether Boebert’s embarrassing confusion will overshadow these serious allegations remains to be seen, but the evidence presented suggests that the full story of JFK’s assassination – and the government’s role in covering it up – may still be unfolding six decades later.
