President Trump promised to drain the Swamp during his campaign.
And he’s been systematically doing that since taking office in January.
But Donald Trump just delivered a crushing blow to the leftist media establishment that has them absolutely panicking.
Trump cuts off taxpayer funding to NPR and PBS
Last night, President Trump signed an executive order ending taxpayer funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

These media organizations have received tens of millions of dollars annually from American taxpayers while pushing increasingly radical content.
White House officials confirmed the President’s decision came after reviewing years of biased reporting and controversial programming that many conservatives have criticized as propaganda disguised as journalism.
The White House announcement stated that American taxpayers should no longer be compelled to fund media outlets that promote content contrary to traditional values.
The decision immediately sent shockwaves through media circles, with NPR and PBS executives facing uncertain futures without government funding.
Years of liberal activism masquerading as journalism
The White House released a devastating list of examples showing just how far these supposedly “neutral” media outlets have strayed from objective reporting.
NPR once ran a story titled “Cannibalism: It’s ‘Perfectly Natural,'” which according to the White House document included an author describing how consuming human placenta was “really the prep that made it taste good” when prepared “osso bucco style” with “a really nice wine.”
The taxpayer-funded radio network has repeatedly attacked America’s founding documents, even adding warning labels to the Declaration of Independence, calling it a document that “contains offensive language.”
PBS, meanwhile, aired children’s programming featuring drag queens and produced a documentary celebrating a transgender teenager’s “changing gender identity.”
A PBS segment devoted airtime to discussing “white privilege” and “what it means to be woke,” while NPR published stories about “genderqueer dinosaur enthusiasts” and argued that animals “deserve pronouns, too.”
Zero tolerance for conservative viewpoints
Perhaps most damning was evidence of the organizations’ overt political bias.
In 2020, NPR refused to cover the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, dismissing it as a “distraction” despite its clear journalistic significance.
When a 25-year veteran NPR reporter spoke out about the network’s liberal bias, he was suspended. That reporter found that registered Democrats outnumbered Republicans 87 to zero in the NPR newsroom.
NPR’s current CEO, Katherine Maher, has a history of anti-Trump statements, once calling the President “racist” and posting photos of herself wearing Biden campaign merchandise.
Independent studies have confirmed the bias. A 2024 study found PBS news staff used the term “far-right” 162 times, while only using “far-left” six times. Another analysis showed PBS gave Republicans 85% negative coverage while Democrats received 54% positive coverage.
The Left is already scrambling
The decision immediately sparked outrage across social media platforms from Democrats and liberal commentators, with many claiming the move threatens public broadcasting’s future.
Democrat leadership has signaled they will oppose the executive order, though the administration appears confident the decision will stand.
Meanwhile, conservative media personalities and Republican lawmakers have praised the President’s decision as long overdue.
The White House made clear that NPR and PBS are free to continue operating but will need to rely solely on private donations and corporate sponsorships rather than taxpayer dollars.
According to the official announcement, the administration believes that in today’s diverse media landscape, government funding of media organizations that demonstrate clear political bias is no longer justifiable.
Conservative media watchdog groups hailed the decision as a victory for taxpayers, with many noting that both organizations already receive substantial funding from private sources.
