Trump’s former attorney just delivered a crushing blow to the soft-on-crime crowd.

Alina Habba has a new job.

And Alina Habba donned body armor for a shockingly bold move that has gang members trembling.

Alina Habba stunned gang members when she showed up in body armor to make arrests

President Trump’s former attorney is putting street criminals on notice.

Alina Habba isn’t just pushing papers from behind a desk anymore.

When President Trump named his former attorney Alina Habba as interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey last month, liberals scoffed at the appointment.

Those skeptics are eating their words now.

Trump’s lawyer trades the courtroom for the front lines of fighting crime

Habba joined U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement this week in a series of high-profile raids in Newark, even helping to haul a dangerous gang member away in handcuffs.

The former Trump attorney didn’t just observe from a safe distance – she donned an official U.S. Marshals bulletproof vest and cap before heading into dangerous territory to witness the arrests firsthand.

Twenty-two agents from multiple agencies, including U.S. Marshals and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, participated in Wednesday’s operation that rounded up several dangerous criminals.

Among those arrested was 18-year-old Zakiyy Houser, a Bloods gang member with an extensive criminal history including multiple weapons charges. Houser was wanted for aggravated assault after allegedly shooting two people in Newark last month.

When agents found Houser at the Pennington Court apartments, he was wearing an Amazon delivery vest – but there was no escaping justice with Habba on the scene.

The raid also netted Darius Torres, a 22-year-old sex offender who failed to appear in court on child pornography charges, and David Bogar, who was wanted for ramming a police car and assaulting an officer.

Habba’s tough stance signals a new era in New Jersey law enforcement

The new interim U.S. Attorney made it clear that criminals – regardless of age – will face severe consequences under her watch.

“The message is very clear: if you’re a child, I don’t care. If you shoot a cop, you’re getting tried as an adult,” Habba declared. “I have no tolerance for violence and we’re gonna clean up New Jersey.”

This tough stance represents a dramatic shift from the soft-on-crime policies that have plagued many Democrat-run cities and states across the country.

While many prosecutors appointed by the previous administration focused on “restorative justice” and reduced sentences, Habba is demonstrating a return to law and order – exactly what President Trump promised during his campaign.

Her hands-on approach also signals a fundamental change in how top prosecutors view their role in the justice system.

When asked why she felt it necessary to accompany agents on these dangerous raids, Habba explained that understanding the realities faced by law enforcement is essential to her job.

“I can’t do my job if I don’t understand what these guys do every day. They do the legwork, they go get the bad guys,” Habba told reporters. “They put so much time and energy into doing it, and now it’s the US attorney’s job to make sure that we get them locked up and that they go to jail for a long time.”

After witnessing the day’s operations, Habba expressed her admiration for the law enforcement officers’ work.

“I can’t believe how many cases you guys are juggling… Unbelievable, unbelievable. God bless you guys, thank you for letting me see what you do every day. Truly it was an honor,” Habba said to the Marshals.

“What an amazing day with our law enforcement- U.S Marshalls and NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. Hit the streets hard in my great state of NJ from 5am-12pm with these unsung heroes. Happy to report a trifecta in arrests today: gangs, pedos, and a subject wanted for an assault on an officer,” Habba wrote in an X post. “More details to come. JERSEY STRONG”

Trump’s appointments are already making America safer

Habba’s appointment is just one example of how President Trump is placing dedicated professionals in key positions to restore law and order across the country.

Rather than focusing solely on white-collar crime or politically motivated cases – as we saw during the previous administration – Habba is targeting violent offenders who pose an immediate threat to community safety.

Her participation in these raids shows that this administration is serious about backing up tough talk with real action against violent criminals.

It also sends a powerful message to gang members and other criminals that the days of lax prosecution and revolving-door justice are over.

Crime has surged in many major cities over the past few years, largely due to progressive policies that prioritized criminal rights over victim protection.

Habba’s appointment, along with other Trump administration law enforcement selections, signals a decisive return to putting the safety of law-abiding citizens first.

“In the state of New Jersey I can commit that while they’re all here doing their job, I’m gonna go back to the office and make sure my team is doing their job to support them in what they do.,” Habba promised.

When asked whether she preferred being on the streets or in the comfort of the White House, Habba laughed and expressed her commitment to her new role.

“Don’t get me in trouble with President Trump,” she joked. “I have the greatest life. Honestly, this has been truly an honor, today was special.”

This blend of loyalty to the President and dedication to her new responsibilities shows exactly why Trump’s appointments are already making a difference across the country.
