On the campaign trail, Donald Trump touted an American First agenda.
This was a direct reaction to Joe Biden’s agenda, which many Americans believed put America last regularly.
And now Elon Musk was vindicated after a stranded astronaut made this troubling revelation.
Stranded astronaut sets the record straight after spending months in space
In June 2024, astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams departed for the International Space Station for a brief eight-day mission aboard Boeing’s Starliner for its first astronaut flight.
Wilmore and Williams were forced to remain on the International Space Station for over eight months after NASA returned the Starliner back to Earth empty due to “technical issues” on the Boeing craft.
The failure with the Boeing Starliner cost taxpayers significantly and demonstrates significant shortcomings with both the spacecraft as well as with NASA.
In February, Elon Musk told Sean Hannity in an interview that he believes that Wilmore and Williams “were left up there for political reasons, which is not good.”
Of course, leftists considered that an absurd allegation.
But now one of the stranded astronauts has vindicated Musk over the claim.
Wilmore recently blamed the Biden administration for failing to get him and his fellow astronauts home safely and in a timely manner.
The astronaut addressed Musk’s charges in a recent press conference, conducted in orbit, live from the International Space Station.
“I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual … I believe him,” Wilmore stated, according to The New York Post.
“What was offered, what was not offered, who it was offered to, how that process went. That’s information that we simply don’t have,” Wilmore added.
Wilmore’s remarks indicate that the Biden administration indeed suspended a rescue mission for Wilmore and his colleague, Suni Williams.
As Wilmore noted, the Biden administration did not communicate effectively with him and Suni Williams, demonstrating that returning these astronauts to Earth was not a priority of the Biden administration.
Donald Trump has echoed these claims, recently stating that, “They didn’t have the go-ahead with Biden.”
“He was going to leave them in space. I think he was going to leave them in space … He didn’t want the publicity,” Trump added.
Fortunately, less than two months into Donald Trump’s second term, NASA contracted SpaceX for the mission to return Wilmore and Williams to Earth – a move the Biden administration refused to take seemingly out of not wanting the Trump ally to get credit for the rescue mission.
A SpaceX Dragon rocket launched Friday docked at the International Space Station on Sunday and was due to return to Earth with Wilmore and Williams sometime this week.
“The Crew-10 astronauts’ SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule docked to the station at 12:04 a.m. on Sunday, about 29 hours after launching at 7:03 p.m. on Friday from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida,” Fox News reported
“Wilmore and Williams are scheduled to depart the station on Wednesday as early as 4 a.m., along with NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, before splashing down off Florida’s coast,” the Fox News report added.
A stellar (literally) example of the Biden administration putting America last
While Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were out campaigning last year, Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams worried about when they would return to earth.
As Elon Musk and Butch Wilmore suggest, Joe Biden and his administration purposefully kept Wilson and Wilmore stranded in space due to political reasons.
In many Americans’ eyes that represents yet another instance of Democrats putting America and Americans last.
