They have responded by lashing out in absurd ways.
And unhinged leftists came up with a ridiculous plan to get rid of Elon Musk.
Federal audit rankling the Left
Donald Trump sent the Left into a tailspin when he appointed Elon Musk the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk and his DOGE team have uncovered all sorts of waste, fraud, and abuse inside the federal government.
And while Democrats talk a good game about wanting to eliminate waste, they understand that their patronage system is under threat.
Democrats lose a great deal of power if they cannot fund their NGOs and street activists and patronage jobs without taxpayer dollars.
That’s why Musk is such a threat.
In response to Musk’s audit of the federal government, the Left have attempted to turn him into an archvillain.
The social media platform Reddit, which has deteriorated into a left-wing echo chamber, came up with a plot to take out Musk.
The plot to get Musk
Leftists on the platform called for a smear campaign against him.
A Redditor explained, “The author of this article nailed it. The Tesla protests are never going to accomplish anything. But Twitter will. [Elon] loves his Twitter. Brand it as a Nazi/Fascist platform and anyone who advertises on it or posts on it is therefore a fascist or Nazi. Chase away the few remaining advertisers. Demand anyone with a conscience close their account. Protest at the data centers, not at Tesla. I don’t want to plagiarize this article by saying more so please read it. This makes a lot of sense.”

The great irony of the comment is that the establishment has already been trying to do this.
When Musk first flirted with the idea of buying Twitter, the entire Left freaked out.
They knew that Twitter was under the thumb of Permanent Washington, and they did not want Musk ruining everything.
Far-left journalist Jeff Jarvis compared Twitter being turned over to Musk to the fall of Weimar Germany to the Nazis.
The over-the-top rhetoric has only increased since then.
Musk released the Twitter Files, which exposed that alphabet agencies had been crawling all over the social media giant.
The Left went after Musk’s advertisers and used fake studies that claimed antisemitism had increased on his watch.
The Biden administration even threatened investigations of Musk.
Democrats and their media allies also claimed that Musk performed a Nazi salute at a rally, a claim that even the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said was absurd.
The Left is already cycling through their radical activist tactics, but they’re not working.
That’s why they don’t know what to do.
A British nonprofit funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) wrote in leaked documents that its goal was to “kill Musk’s Twitter.”
The Left has lost monopoly control of the narrative, and they are confused as to what they can do to get it back.
