Elon Musk and Tesla targeted by violent Left-wing protestors
Tesla CEO Elon Musk was the darling of the Left for building the most popular electric vehicle in the country.
He, like many Democrats, left the party over its increasing left-wing extremism.
Teslas were celebrated for their cutting-edge technology and lack of greenhouse emissions by the Left.
Now, that’s all changed after Musk backed President Donald Trump and began his work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
A Tesla Takedown movement was launched by Soros-linked left-wing activist groups to protest outside of Tesla stores.
Protestors have destroyed charging stations and vandalized Teslas.
Trump bought a red Tesla Model S to show his support for Musk at a White House event.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about the change in attitude by the Left toward Musk during an appearance on Fox News.
“It’s really interesting to me that Tesla used to be the darling of the Left, particularly the leftist environmental groups. It was the car that was going to save the environment. And now, you’ve got these left-wing environmental groups, they are defacing the cars, they are destroying property at Tesla dealerships. And the car didn’t change,” host John Roberts said.
Roberts said that most people would see this switch as “blatant hypocrisy.”
“It sure is, John. The only reason Democrats have changed their minds on Tesla is because Elon Musk changed his mind on Donald Trump. That’s the bottom line,” Leavitt replied.
The only principle the Left cares about is power
Leavitt noted that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was once a proud Tesla owner.
“I know AOC, for instance, used to drive a Tesla. I’m not sure if she still does. If she still does, it’s because she knows it’s a great American-made product,” Leavitt stated.
Several left-wing celebrities like singer Sheryl Crow and actor Jason Bateman have ditched their Teslas over Musk’s association with Trump.
Leavitt said that Trump was happy to support an American-made product.
“That’s why President Trump was proud to review some of those models at the White House yesterday. He ultimately went with the red sports model. It’s actually sitting at WestExec right here at the White House now,” Leavitt said. “But as you said, the President purchased the Cybertruck for his granddaughter, which is a very nice gesture. And it’s an American-made vehicle. And that’s what the President supports most.”
Tesla owners aren’t unhappy with the vehicle, they’re mad at the brand and its owner.
Leftists like Tesla when the brand was considered cool and environmentally friendly.
They don’t really care about driving an electric vehicle to fight climate change, it’s all about virtue signaling to the public that they do and making a statement.
Elon Musk and Tesla didn’t change.
The left-wingers who loved the brand moved on to something else to express their moral superiority.
