CIA officials threatened to sell American secrets to the enemy
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is considering its largest firing of employees since 1975 as part of President Donald Trump’s attempt to trim the fat in the federal government.
CIA employees who worked on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are already being processed out of the agency.
CNN reported that top officials at the CIA are worried that employees who are fired or laid off could sell national security secrets to foreign countries.
The reporting served as a veiled threat to the Trump administration about firing anyone in the intelligence agencies.
“You take whatever number of employees who are gonna get cut loose and they have knowledge of sensitive programs — that by definition is an insider risk,” a source told CNN. “You’re just rolling the dice that these folks are gonna honor their secrecy agreement and not volunteer to a hostile intelligence service.”
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard slammed rogue elements in the CIA who would betray their country during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters Primetime.
She accused them of using threats as leverage to keep their jobs.
“I am curious about how they think this is a good tactic to keep their job,” Gabbard said. “They’re exposing themselves essentially by making this indirect threat using their propaganda arm through CNN that they’ve used over and over and over again to reveal their hand that their loyalty is not at all to America.”
Rogue CIA employees betrayed America and the Constitution
Gabbard argued these agents were the employees who needed to be rooted out of the CIA.
“It is not to the American people or the Constitution,” Gabbard explained. “It is to themselves, and these are exactly the kind of people that we need to root out and get rid of so that the patriots who do work in this area, who are committed to our core mission, can actually focus on that.”
She revealed that the threats issued by rogue CIA agents led to people coming forward to her about problems in the agency.
“I got to tell you that one of the byproducts of what I just saw literally today is because of this immediate action of transparency and accountability,” Gabbard stated. “I have people within the intelligence community reaching out to me personally and directly saying, ‘Hey, you need to know about this.’”
“You need to look over here,” Gabbard continued. “People are stepping forward because they are all on board with the mission to clean house and refocus on our core mission of serving the American people.”
The CIA works for the President and in service of the country.
CIA agents threatening to commit treason and using the media to keep their jobs is exactly why Tulsi Gabbard needs to clean house at the agency.
