Pete Hegseth has been fighting off vicious attacks from Democrats.

It was finally his turn to go on the offensive.

And Pete Hegseth dropped one fact at his hearing that sent Democrats into a fit of rage.

Pete Hegseth shuts down Democrat fearmongering over his tattoos

Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth has had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him by Democrats and their media allies to sink his nomination.

One of the most absurd lines of attack against him is his tattoos.

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) – a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee – fired off a 33-page letter to Hegseth where she claimed he was unfit to lead the Pentagon in part from his tattoos.

She falsely claimed that his tattoo of the Latin phrase Deus Vult, which means “God wills it,” was associated with right-wing extremism.

Hegseth’s tattoo of a Jerusalem Cross has also been incorrectly identified as an extremism symbol.

His confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee was a chance for him to correct the lies that Democrats have told.

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) noted that Hegseth was pulled from serving his National Guard unit at President Joe Biden’s inauguration because someone in his unit identified him as an “extremist” because of his tattoos.

“You mentioned that you were not able to serve with your National Guard unit in the protection of the inauguration of Joe Biden because of a tattoo, a Christian tattoo. Can you elaborate a little bit on what this very offensive, extremist, racist tattoo is that you have?” Cramer asked.

Hegseth humiliated Warren by noting where he saw another Jerusalem Cross.

“It’s called the Jerusalem Cross. It’s a historic Christian symbol,” Hegseth said. “Interestingly, I recently attended the memorial ceremony of former President Jimmy Carter, and on the front page of his program was the very same Jerusalem Cross. It is a Christian religious symbol.”

The same Jerusalem Cross that Democrats and the media railed about was displayed prominently at the service for the late President Jimmy Carter.

Democrats are desperate to sink Hegseth’s nomination

Going after Hegseth’s tattoos is an example of the Left throwing something against the wall and hoping it sticks in their fight to kill his nomination.

The smear campaign over his tattoos had an effect on his service because of the hysteria.

“When the events preceding the Biden inauguration happened, I was part of the mobilization to defend that inauguration,” Hegseth explained. “As someone who had been a proud supporter of Donald Trump but also a member of the military, I had orders to come to Washington, D.C., to guard that inauguration. At the last minute, those orders were revoked. I’ve never had orders revoked before.”

He later discovered it was because he was branded an extremist because of his tattoos.

“If that’s happening to me, Senator, how many other men and women, how many other patriots, how many other people of conscience?” Hegseth asked.

Hegseth pointed to a study that identified 100 extremists in the entire military and most of them were related to gang activity.

“Things like focusing on extremism, Senator, have created a climate inside our ranks that feels political when it hasn’t ever been political. Those are the types of things that are going to change,” Hegseth declared.

The politicization of the military is coming to an end under Pete Hegseth.
