Donald Trump is riding high as the President-elect.

But rocky shoals await him as he is set to begin his second term.

And Donald Trump, Jr. shocked his father’s supporters with this jarring revelation.

“Amateur night”

Donald Trump, Jr. is a fierce defender of his father.

However, he was not particularly a big fan of his father’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago.

During his Triggered podcast with investigative journalist Peter Schweizer, Trump Jr. referred to the festivities as “amateur night.”

Trump Jr., who has been sober for over two decades, said the party would be “a little rough.”

He elaborated, “I get to be around a thousand drunk people giving me their political opinions that I don’t necessarily want to hear. . .By about midnight when everyone’s like, you know, 12 beers deep or whatever it is they’re drinking. . .it’s not for me. . .This’ll be like, year, like nine of, ‘Hey, you know, have you ever thought to maybe have your dad not tweet that?’. . .I’m like, no, I’ve never thought that ‘cause I’m a freaking imbecile.”

Donald Trump famously does not drink after seeing his older brother struggle with alcoholism, so it’s to see where Trump Jr. was coming from with regard to the drunken advice he receives.

Trump Jr. added, “You wouldn’t know it but I’m basically a recluse. . .I’m okay with a mic when I have a big crowd, but I don’t like being around a lot of people if I can avoid it. I like fishing, hunting and, like, two people.”

Trump Jr. sounds more like an introvert, while his father is very much an extrovert.

In advance of the party, Trump posted a message on Truth Social that he looked forward to seeing Elon Musk at the event.

Trump wrote, “Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe, ‘Mar-a-Lago.’ We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!!”

Trump’s upcoming hurdles when he takes office

Trump was in a festive mood at the time; however, he had many challenges to navigate once he became President.

For example, Joe Biden is wreaking havoc on his way out the door.

He has escalated tensions in Ukraine, and his administration recently put out job postings for various DEI positions throughout the federal government.

Biden is hoping to staff up with an army of DEI activists in an attempt to gum up the works for a second Trump administration.

Trump also has to reconcile a debate that broke out on the Right over the issue of legal immigration.

While most Republicans are in agreement on illegal immigration, there is a split between the populist Right and the pro-business Right—particularly Big Tech companies—on the appropriate levels of legal immigration, namely H-1B visa holders.

The H-1B visa program was intended for foreigners to come to America for “special occupations,” but the program has largely been abused for the purposes of cheaper and compliant labor.
